There hasn't been much discussion about the Rohingya problem and Aung San Suu Kyi's continual silence. I think she should hand back her Nobel Peace Prize.
It was said on Radio 4 last week, that when she interviewed by one of the BBC's resident Muslim reporters, at the end of the interview, she was heard to say that "nobody told me that I was going to have to be interviewed by a Muslim"

Countries have a right to protect their borders and culture. Europe should be taking a close look at this, because one day they will have to do the same.

I have advised you before Mikey, do not ascribe a point of view based on your limited judgement. Support for and the defence of "ethnic cleansing" is not implied because I do not follow your knee jerk, and at times hysterical, squint eyed view of world events. I will have a think over whether I dislike your Eeyore persona more than your deliberately insulting, maledictive one. Do not use false postulation, and proclaim it as fact, on a web site that is open to all and liable to be taken as fact by anyone similarly afflicted as yourself. Particularly when it is a devious slur against myself.

//Have you even considered why there is constant conflict between the opposing sides mikey?//
No, far too much like hard work. He's already found a "good" side and "bad" side and will enjoy the pleasurable act of announcing his support for the goodies and denouncing the baddies (this time including Nobel Laureate Suu Kyi)ad nauseam. Why spoil the fun by an attempt at a critical analysis.

//Mikey, Wiki is useful, but the ‘facts’ it provides are often based on the preferred world view of the author. Careful//
How very right you are Naomi.

Enlightening Ichi, you however do not indicate which portions you consider to be the "lies". However, that aside, it may be worth reading to perhaps draw the analogy and comparison with the recent alarming realization taking place across Europe. A huge influx of economic or religious migrants takes place in a prosperous and comparatively peaceful country. They quickly begin to assert their own "ways" and attitudes on the indigenous people causing alarm and discordance. The people who are supposedly, taxed with, or who have seized control of these countries do little to address the issues. This causes further unease within the indigenous people whilst of course giving encouragement to the incomers to increase the flow and intensify their own agenda. Eventually the people who object to the "new" conditions rise up and take matters into their own hands, leaving the rulers with two choices. They either do nothing and let matters take their course or they mobilize the military and police forces against their own people. Scary. We should indeed be watching events in Burma very closely. Whether we have the wit to learn the lesson in time, or have take the crash course in reality remains to be seen. :))[I can do smiley face too]
