^^ Do you realise that under US medical law those injured will be entitled to free emergency medical treatment to stabilize their condition ONLY.
After that all ongoing treatment has to be paid for. Most of the injured will end up owing tens of thousands or even millions of $ in medical bills.
I asked on the US question site Quora, if in something like a terrorist attack the government would pay the medical costs of the victims. The answer was No, only sufficient treatment to stabilise their condition is free, everything above that has to be paid for. No insurance policy will cover things like a terrorist attack so the victims end up bankrupted by medical bills. Another reason I'll never go to the USA. It's not worth the risk.
Mental instability, with access to assault weapons....
a deadly combination, something we recognised here years ago, and dealt with appropriately.
I recall Trumps comments, after the Bataclan terrorist attack....he said something like......"if only the people in the concert hall had had access to guns, they could have fought back"
Can you imagine the carnage that would have occurred in Las Vegas, if the audience had started shooting at the lone gunman on the 32nd floor !
