Good news for all the Republican Candidates in the mid term elections who will undoubtedly wipe up because ObamaCare isn't working. Trumpwill get a. Ajority in Congressand the Senate, and he won’t need Executive Orders.
But hold on, the Republicans have a majority in Congress, and the Senate, and still Trump can't get his crackpot ideas past his own party members.
Perhaps they need to drive him past a Grassy Knoll.

That probably had quite a lot to do with the fact that getting it through *at all* required making an unbelievable number of concessions and compromises. It was by no means perfect but the point is that it was a step in the right direction, the first step towards the sort of healthcare plan that the US really needs. Really...?
Current spending on Medicare and Medicaid comes to about $900 billion, and that's essentially entirely covered by "Social Insurance taxes", which I am here assuming (hopefully correctly) is the US equivalent of our NI Contributions.
So yeah, I think it is actually affordable after all.
