I believe that at times they want us to believe it. No other reason to say it in the first place. But if they say it I will answer with what I hope is a reasonable approximation of common sense.

The reason I gave is why I don't believe it will happen. (Our planes not being able to land that is)

Planes landing- so how come planes piloted by American, African, Asian, S. American, Australian and pilots from all other countries in the world manage to land in Europe. Twaddle. This threat is on the same level that France refused my Teaching qualifications (against EU rules, as usual!) because they weren't French, I suppose. It works against individuals, but won't work on this scale.
