We are only divided because we are a democracy and not everyone agrees on everything.
Also it should be noted that Barnier is staying to screw every last € out of us but won't be around for finalising trade. Or something like that.
Perhaps he and Junker are mules. They come in first and play hard Ball Ind the hope we will roll over and beg for scraps. When that doesn't happen they send in the second wave to 'soften' and give a little. That little of course will be so tiny it will be insignificant ala Cameron. But we will all be so overjoyed the first two have gone we will just say yes yes yes to get it over with.

"Mr Barnier warned that no withdrawal agreement would have disastrous consequences including British planes being unable to gain authorisation to take off and land at European airports." !!!
You wouldn't believe it would you? He is as much a failure as a negotiator, as he is as a politician, he won't last until 2019, the skids are already under him from the direction of Berlin.

// Europe’s biggest budget airline has warned it could move its planes out of the UK if no post-Brexit aviation deal is reached by next year.
Ryanair has almost 90 aircraft based at British airports, and flies them to dozens of European destinations under the EU “Open Skies” agreement.
Announcing its first quarter results, the Irish airline warned: “There may not be sufficient time, or goodwill on both sides, to negotiate a timely replacement bilateral.
“If we do not have certainty about the legal basis for the operation of flights between the UK and the EU by autumn 2018, we may be forced to cancel flights and move some, or all, of our UK based aircraft to Continental Europe from April ’19 onwards.” //
But David Davis is working on the best deal for Britain, so everything will be alright.
