"Thinking about it now, I had the best of both worlds. But 9/11 changed everything. "
So the activities of other Muslims have ruined the worlds of "moderate" Muslims. Why not leave the "faith" then? This is UK you are allowed.

Or you could just force the cowardly bullys to stop attacking women for no reason. That might work ?
Question Author
yes gromit if only but we know that wont happen when muslims are attacking Britain regularly is anyone surprised that they are not universally loved by the populace?
It seems nudge theory is alive and well and living at the BBC.
Those who committed the terrorist acts are responsible for those.

Those who are aggressive to others for no good reason are responsible for that.
I agree with Mamyalynne here.

But in addition, I've noticed something else. It always seems to be Muslim women who are attacked and verbally abused in public.

It makes me wonder whether this is down to cowardice on the part of those who are doing the attacking.

I think it's because they are more obvious. Muslim men are not obvious for the most part.
Only the Muslim Religion can stop the issue of terrorism if they all got together, they certainly got together when Salman Rushdie insulted their god didn't they.
It's because women are softer targets, let's have some honesty here.
It's their dress that causes attention Mam, If the men wore the masks they would suffer the same.
I agree, Mamya ... Why not leave the "faith" then?
Question Author
cobras mamy, how do you spot a muslim man, come on tell me? The women are obvious, not so the men, or they'd get the same.
You would have to ask them that question - but no one has the right to harass, abuse or attack anyone for what someone else did.

You can hate their guts but leave them alone.

Excusing it is almost as bad as taking part.
So because some thickos cannot be bothered to identify some Muslim men to have a go at it's OK for them to go for the women?

I have never read such garbage in my life.
Following Leeds United used to be my religion, I travelled up and down the country following them. Being a particularly thuggish club at the time I had to carry an ID card to attend away games.
I stopped following my chosen religion as racism became a big problem in the game, seeing idiots taking bananas to a game was too much and I stopped going ... 8 years passed before I attended another game.
Question Author
ok mamy just tell me how you would identify a muslim man?
Question Author
no one says it's ok to go after the women just that they are obvious the men are not, can you not see that mamy?
Are you completely dense?

Why would I need to know someone's religion?

If it was essential to me I would ask them.

But then - here's the revelation, I don't go looking for folk to be aggressive to.
I'm not saying it is right but those are the consequences ... you do get tarred with the same brush by some people, hence the authorities made me carry an ID card because of the actions of others. That, unfortunately, is life.

But why do so few chose to leave?
I may see that thugs need visual signals, their single brain cell is too busy thinking up their insults.
I have no idea why so few leave, it may be a question best posed to a Muslim.
