I still dont get why someone would access so much porn in the office. It's not like you could knock one out every 5 mins is it so what is the point?

YMB....no one is suggesting that what is on that PC is illegal.

But the issue of whether Green is lying or not is vital. He is the First Secretary of State and Minister for the Cabinet Office, and stands in for Mrs May when she is unavailable.

If this man cannot be trusted to tell the truth, then I think that it IS important.
How many of us can remember the hoo-haa Green raised back in 2008, when he discovered his office had been searched in pursuance of a totally different investigation? Perhaps his outrage makes more sense now!
One may look without acting ymb

When I worked for BT, 2 close friends were sacked for viewing porn.
If all male ABers submitted their P.C's to scrutiny, I wonder what % would show porn?
My bet..........80%.
youngmafbog.......some and eventually ALL are so boring that one could "knock one out" every 2 mins.
Of course he watched them of course he lied ( who wouldn't?)this is the pattern of a normal modern male.
//If this man cannot be trusted to tell the truth,//

Get real, the man is a politician. You want rid of all 650 of them?
Mikey - there are some things people lie about.
Sorry got to go.

Back in 2 mins!
^^^LOL^^^
"My bet..........80%"
Single guys living alone, closer to 99%, but work's PC, I'd hope less than 1%.
I think it is generally accepted that ALL MPs are somewhat creative with the truth !

Why "single guys" living alone?
Married guys living with the wife could equally be ..."alone".
C'mon, pornography is just not for the "single guys living alone."
They'd have more incentive to cover tracks in case of discovery and lack of approval/understanding.

If he was viewing it that often presumably he either didn’t or couldn’t ;-)
Bet he watches BLUE Movies from the Con Mens Library.
Works computers should be used for " work " only, surely there is a device to lock down computers in the workplace.
No one is suggesting the porn he (probably) viewed was illegal. So the offence really is more cheating his employer of time (and therefore money). Except MPs are not like regular employees, they work as if they are self employed. They have no set hours, no clocking on or off time, can take holidays when they feel like it. So even the stealing from his employer charge doesn’t stand up.
We all know that politicians lie. In this case Greene was is in an embarrassing predicament. There were no witnesses so he probably thought denying everything was the best option, unaware of the smoking gun tech evidence.
So in summary, he did nothing wrong and then lied about it. So what.
