as if it's not expensive enough. Surely there must be a better way to dispose of all these billions of coffee non disposable cups.

"...we are talking of 25p per cup, a not inconsiderable tax," It still won't stop people drinking it. If you have two a day five days a week it will cost you £32.50 instead of £30.00 (assuming £3 per cup). People shelling out thirty quid a week on coffee obviously have a bit of income to dispose of because there are far cheaper alternatives. That much extra over...

Good that makes two of us.
Sigh - tea anyone?
Question Author
what we are discussing is important, its the government yet again sticking its nose in, if the levy goes ahead most people will just absorb that into their weekly bills, whilst the government should put that money towards more recycling centres for said coffee/tea cups.
What do you mean Mamya - disagreements on threads are not new are they ???
Jack...why is it pretentious if that's what it is? I believe the current modern coffee shop is based on those found in Europe. Is it the "Europe" part you have trouble with?
A coffee with milk in it is not the same as a latte.
Maybe it's "foreign muck"...:-0
No, they aren't this thread is a classic example of that fact.
Question Author
now not lets sling mud, I drink Americano without milk, so don't bother generally about whether people like a latte, cappuccino or other.
For the hard of thinking, latte is Italian for milk. If a white coffee is not the same as a latte then tell me which other ingredients are added.
Question Author
i like espresso but it usually makes me hyper, not good for a going on pensioner, lol
Good post pasta.

And I did not start it mamya, but you love to 'sigh' and point things out, don't you ...?

I've had my say and won't be back on this thread now.
The way to go as someone mentioned earlier is to use bio degradable cups - there may be many holes to fill but do we want the planet to become one huge landfill?

Apologies if my sighs became audible at the wrong point in the thread, they have been brewing for hours.

I too have said all I needed.
Question Author
mamy, its already going that way, its why half the stuff tips over into the oceans, sad to say.
Bio Degradable cups.
HereIam I believe the whole thing was started by Islay at 12.28.
Bathsheba you can throw as many accusations around as you want as can your puppet masters - its water off a ducks back!!
Go back a bit further, Baths, you were sniping on page 1.
As I said Jack...https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latte
But maybe you did not read my earlier answer.
