Bazille, as I understand it Bush signed it off a month before Obama came in so Obama did not have to actually do it. i neither know nor care whether he should have nor not.

I am gtting increasingly fed up with the brownshirts actions of the Left. They do not represent the majority of the country and they just dnt seem to get that they are offending the office of the POTUS not Trump. He really wont care. We will be the losers big time, but then juding by the commenters n here they are the very same people that want to see Brexit fail.

Nigel Farage was on the BBC this morning (mission accomplished for him, it seems: one controversial call for another referendum which he must know is not going to happen has got him back in the headlines again :-) )
His take on this was, predictably, that it is all the fault of "the left" that the Donald is not coming, and how frankly sad it is blah blah blah ...: yet mysteriously he didn't seem to think this great evil in our midst would stop His Trumpness from making a state visit, were one to go ahead (dangle a gold coach before his eyes and he's anyone's - and that goes for Trump too !). And, in any case, Trump is too focused for now on the mid-term elections --- which are a full nine months after the embassy opening.
