does he think he will get a rough ride over here i wonder.
It has to be born in mind that the US has a much higher population than the UK. 8 shootings is 0.000012% of our population. 15000 shootings is 0.0046% of the US population. Both very small figures.
Emmie,
You have slightly misremember what I wrote.
Not hundreds of thousand violent crimes, 1.2 MILLION!
i do remember the 15 thousand or so deaths you mentioned, but yes the figures are there for all to see.
//Next a "warning" to American businesses not to trade with Britain as we are untrustworthy. //

well if they do, I think they'll have a fair point, bearing in mind the type of utter incompetents the government chooses to do business with....

Yes, figures for 2017 are not out yet, but will be a lot higher , due to 2 or 3 terrorist attacks. But even with that, the number of rounds fired by the whole UK police force will be a lot less than just one single US police officer fires in a year.
Apparently Level 1 is deemed as safe as staying in America, while Level 4 means ‘do not travel’"

Considering the 10,000's who are killed every years by guns in the US, I would have thought that Britain was a haven of peace and security !

More nonsense from America.
With a concentration on guns, posts on this thread seem to be way wide of the mark, so to speak, because similar classifications are specified for an assortment of reasons. The UK is classified as Level 2 not because of the threat of gun crime but because of the threat of terrorist attacks whereas visitors to Zimbabwe, for example, are warned of civil unrest. The UK’s listing has nothing to do with gun crime.

Well said Naomi.........perhaps the "threatened" civil unrest, so roundly applauded by some here on AB, towards the POTUS himself.
Fifth column behaviour from the anti UK devotees, once again damages us from within.
