^ I don't agree with that, that's what remainers like to think. It was about regaining control and sovereignty over our own laws and making our own decisions about the UK - like which kind of light bulb can we buy.....

Ummm...no idea....I didn't count them...do you count everybody you meet every day ?

But all those that voted for BREXIT said the same.
Whatever happens dont give Carillion the contract to build the wall.
Te migrant problem goes way beyond the EU. It is pointless thinking France can just deal with it, we have to help too (within reason).

The alternative is to have the border on our side and that would cause no end of problems especially with the bleeding heart hand wringing liberals.

So yes, pay up and help them. Money well spent.
Your Answer...Mickey asked a couple of old boys down the pub while he was having his half a mild I suspect.

Despite being told different on here by well know leave he still thinks he knows it all.
What we do not want into this country is any more of those beaded 'children' refugees.
YMB....I almost never visit Pubs these days, and even when I do, I most certainly wouldn't drink Mild !

TTT has confirmed on another thread that what I have said is correct.....it was about immigration.

No he has not. You have twisted it that way.
//BUT where are they getting the money from? //

Border security is an ongoing thing. Le Touquet treaty, signed at a summit between President Chirac and Tony Blair in 2003, it provided for France and Britain to erect juxtaposed border controls in Channel ports. This effectively moved the French frontier to Kent and the UK frontier to Calais.

If we move the border back to Kent it will cost far more (probably in legal aid alone).
Le Touquet is nothing to do with the EU BTW.

a) It isn't entirely what we voted for

b) We can if we wish.

BUT, as I have said above the agreement has nothing to do with membership of the EU. We need to fund it whether we are in or out.
Question Author
so we give France more money, and we get the Bayeaux
Tapestry or wall hanging as some have suggested, 44 million for that humm
YMB....On another thread, TTT said this ::::

"The NHS is irrelevant, control and security of our own nation is the main reason people voted brexit"

Just what does "control and security of our own borders" mean, if it doesn't mean control of immigration?
How is it that France can threaten to move out of the Le Touquet deal, yet we are finding it so hard moving out of the EU?
AOG...is that a real question ! ?
Logically then, Mikey, you are in favour of uncontrolled immigration.
TTT wrote "control and security of our own nation"

You (from your post above) have translated that to: //Just what does "control and security of our own borders" //

Not quite the same at all is it?
Question Author
well he would say that wouldn't he, do you believe in
uncontrolled immigration Mikey, yes or no.

because many of us feel that its got way out of hand.
but that wasn't the only reason to leave the EU, as other leavers have pointed out endless times.
Nothing logical about uncontrolled immigration Jack.

I most certainly do not believe in it. I want controlled immigration.

But we have to accept some immigration is necessary for our economy, as Farmers, Market Gardeners, the NHS, etc will tell you.

There is a world of difference between immigrant workers from the EU, and immigrants from other parts of the globe.
