^ I don't agree with that, that's what remainers like to think. It was about regaining control and sovereignty over our own laws and making our own decisions about the UK - like which kind of light bulb can we buy.....

Spending more on border security in one's own country is a good thing for Brexiters, and everyone else. Paying the bills some other country has imposed upon themselves, by their foolish allowance of immigrant entry into their country, is simply being taken as suckers. As excellent neighbours, we've already helped out before, we ought not allow ourselves to be held to ransom every time they fancy a further bung. There has to be a limit to this, "It's only a small amount more, and paying the 'Danegeld' stops us having to send the illegals back", nonsense. We have enough of our own bills to pay, without acting as a money tree for others. They've been paid to sort their problem out their side of the channel; it's not supposed to be a continuous stream of gifting.

apart from the 44m, they are going to ask for further funds, which quite honestly i would refuse, enough is enough..
This won't stop at 44m. Next year there will be another request for possibly more and it will go on and on. If we could find a way to keep the migrants in their own countries it would help. The only way to do this would be for some of our Uk companies to set up manufacturing and other industries in the emerging market countries we hear so much about at the moment. Africa is one and many of the migrants are leaving there because they don't have work . You can't blame them for wanting to improve their lives.
Andres, I think you may mean that they would not get the benefits if they had employment in their own country's
TWR--Cynical remark that I will ignore .
Look at it like this , they lend us the BAYEUX TAPESTRY, we give them £44.5 million , its as simple as that , all picked from the Conservative money tree , no problem.

//It's only a small amount more, and paying the 'Danegeld'...

It is always a temptation to an armed and agile nation
To call upon a neighbour and to say: –
"We invaded you last night – we are quite prepared to fight,
Unless you pay us cash to go away."

And that is called asking for Dane-geld,
And the people who ask it explain
That you've only to pay 'em the Dane-geld
And then you'll get rid of the Dane!

It is always a temptation for a rich and lazy nation,
To puff and look important and to say: –
"Though we know we should defeat you,
we have not the time to meet you.
We will therefore pay you cash to go away."

And that is called paying the Dane-geld;
But we've proved it again and again,
That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld
You never get rid of the Dane.

It is wrong to put temptation in the path of any nation,
For fear they should succumb and go astray;
So when you are requested to pay up or be molested,
You will find it better policy to say: --

"We never pay any-one Dane-geld,
No matter how trifling the cost;
For the end of that game is oppression and shame,
And the nation that plays it is lost!"
Mikey ///// Nothing logical about uncontrolled immigration Jack.

I most certainly do not believe in it. I want controlled immigration.

But we have to accept some immigration is necessary for our economy, as Farmers, Market Gardeners, the NHS, etc will tell you.

There is a world of difference between immigrant workers from the EU, and immigrants from other parts of the globe. ///

Which is almost exactly what The argument in Brexit.
