It's not a particularly great sentence.
Had he been a year older he would almost certainly have been sentenced to twice that period. He will be out in a maximum of five years (and possibly less) by which time he will still be only 22. Personally I believe what he did warrants at least twenty years (that is, twenty years inside, not ten).

Some of you seem to not understand my thoughts behind this thread, well let me try and make it clearer, but somehow I don't think many will agree for some strange reason.
Mrs May has been most forceful over a vicious attack on two people, even going to the extent of accusing a powerful foreign nation to such an extent that it could threaten the peace of this nation.
Yet on the other hand we see the increase on other multiple crimes and even terrorist attacks, all without the same vigour, condemnation and threats as shown in the nerve agent attack.

And as such she holds the power to order action by the forces who are supposed to attend to the security and safe being of the citizens of this country, and along with proof that certain crimes are increasing month by month, proves that further measures need to be implemented with much more vigour than they appears to be now.
