I find it so very sad but at the same time really really happy that nobody was killed. If that have happened what a blight on the rest of his life. At least things can go forward for all concerned particularly the little girl.
I think it's very sad. Of course it is for the family of the other car, but you can have more than one victim sometimes. It isn't always just good versus evil.
Garaman, no, but who's to know a sick man's state of mind? There, to all intents and purposes, is a man who has everything. I really find it very sad indeed.
I know what Ant has done is totally out of order and I hope he gets the full punishment he deserves....he needs help to sort himself out hopefully he gets through this.
I feel sorry for Dec his best mate has let him down he must be devastated about this his friend and his own career in tatters.. I hope something good comes out of all this for both of them
Does anyone else think this is sad .... or is it just me?“

but unfortunately many mega rich celebrities have what is known as the “god complex”

Where they think they’re untouchable and can do what they want when they want ( think Kanye West)

“A god complex is an unshakable belief characterized by consistently inflated feelings of personal ability, privilege, or infallibility.”

“A person with a god complex may refuse to admit the possibility of their error or failure, even in the face of irrefutable evidence, intractable problems or difficult or impossible tasks. The person is also highly dogmatic in their views, meaning the person speaks of their personal opinions as though they were unquestionably correct.[1] Someone with a god complex may exhibit no regard for the conventions and demands of society, and may request special consideration or privileges.[1]

God complex is not a clinical term or diagnosable disorder and does not appear in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).

The first person to use the term god-complex was Ernest Jones (1913–51).[2] His description, at least in the contents page of Essays in Applied Psycho-Analysis, describes the god complex as belief that one is a god.[3]”

Jahulaye, and that’s your psychoanalysis of him. Righto.
It's perfectly possible to feel sad for someone's plight whilst at the same time condemning their actions.

With experience we grow.
Is there such a thing as the *** complex?
Definitely.
Give us a clue.
Yes, I think it's sad naomi and I said many, many posts ago that I feel dreadfully sorry for him. He looks haunted.

There's nothing "sad" about that. The "sufferer" needs to get a grip and take account of the fact that the world does not revolve around them. In any case, methinks Mr McPartlin is being afforded too much slack. He may be an alcoholic but, unlike many sufferers, he is in a position to refrain from driving motor vehicles.
HereIam, He does. He looks dreadful.

Juhulaye has given a link to a complex she says doesn't exist with no explanation or reason. What does "mega rich " even have to do with it?
He's now been charged, and could face up to six months in prison if found guilty:

Any news yet as too how far over the limit he was?
Agree hereiam.... People have addictions, never good whatever they are. However even if only slightly over the limit and if road conditions( ice) are taken into consideration.... If it hadn't been an RTC it might not have been news. I feel sorry for anyone suffering an addiction...it is an illness whether people choose to believe it or not.

I feel sorry for those who can't help it....yet there are countless others who drink and drug drive.... Not considering their actions due to selfishness. Life is complicated whatever the circs.... Just one prolly should think.... Intention? Or none!
