City hall have given the green light to a crowdfunded blimp depicting an angry Donald Trump throwing a temper tantrum in a nappy, meaning it will be flying over Parliament Square on the day of his visit.
Do you think this is a valid piece of satire or do you think this should have been disallowed so as not to annoy the President?
Almost certain I’ve seen seen extreme criticism of those on my list. //
Of course you've seen criticisms of those on your list - we've all seen them - but nothing like this. This is relentless - absolutely relentless - day in and day out - and for any reason - for any word he utters. Bizarre indeed!
Part of that might be because of what Z-M has pointed out...the sheer volume of tweets issued forth from Trump.
He alone amongst world leaders spends an amazingly large amount of time tweeting. It invites responses - but as much as he’s criticised, he’s also relentlessly praised too.
Look at the almost daily posts from TTT who Trump won the election!
This is why I have a sneaking admiration for Farage despite his appalling views.
The man has a sense of humour and does not always take himself 100% seriously. I suspect he’d make a joke of it if was a parody of himself. I cannnot see Trump doing that.
Trump is often criticized for his "gigantic egotism". Well, isn't it gigantically egotistical of the planners of this ridiculous farce to think that the entire country agrees with their position?
I don't think that most of us on here are rushing to kiss Donald Trump's feet or that we hero worship him. It's more a matter of being proud to be English , behaving with dignity and treating the President of USA with respect. Not too much to ask,is it ?
