Never mind the supposed shortages we have been told may happen if we come out of Europe, if we can prevent this happening to our country it will be well worth it.

It's not happening in the manner of the D-Day landings but its effects will be every bit as profound. Meanwhile, the Euromaniacs are simply discussing ways of dealing with the invaders after they have landed when they should be devising ways of keeping them out. Our leaving the EU will make no difference to that whatsoever but if it helps to accelerate the ultimate demise of the EU as an institution it will have done the whole of Europe a huge favour.

perhaps one day it will dawn on the powers that be, make it fortress europe with gunboats you get towed back or sunk, and any ferry service help boats boarded with arrests and boats confiscated or again sunk depending on value, and migrants sent home without recourse to the law..frig the talking shop u.n.
Earlier in the month, there was a thread regarding the do-gooders who set out to "rescue" these invaders and I posted this: These types of "rescues" have led to this Monty Pythonish chapter in British History tickling the back of my mind: “Starting in 1939, it became common practice for groups of healthy young German men and the occasional remarkably healthful pregnant young German woman to set sail from the coast of France in various types of un-seaworthy craft in an endeavour to reach the shores of England. The Great British people, in the spirit of magnanimous humanity, set forth to rescue these poor unfortunates and tow them ashore. This situation continued for a number of years until in 1945 the entire nation came to the realization that: “Bloody Hell, we’ve gone and aided and abetted in our own invasion…Flamin’ Norah!”
they are not seeing the big picture of the future, and what it means
to the lay person, altruism with rose tinted spectacles, the world has tried to help africa and asian poor countries to no effect, keep giving till it hurts mantra, birth control is the only way, but how to implement that on a continental scale and enforced, if not they will keep coming. drastic...but in reality the only way, or the west takes over africa and makes it happen, not likely though.

Send in heavy mob teams, handcuff the young men, coral them, then send them back under armed guards.
Landing craft can dump them on the appropriate beaches. They won’t have those insufferable grins on their faces then as they do now. They are laughing at our ineptitude, it’s a challenge and game to some of them.

It's quite clear that if the invaders are to resort to tactics such as driving a boat onto beaches and then legging it into town then the government of such an effected country needs to take action. If battalions of armed soldiers were to be seen doing so then action would soon be taken to counter it. These people are invading sovereign territory. Just because they don't have AK47s over their shoulders does not mean they should simply be waved through. It is quite clear that the Euromaniacs are either unwilling or unable to tackle the problem so it is about time individual governments on mainland Europe woke up to the need to start protecting their citizens from such an invasion.

NJ - clearly first choice of the LC ( Lord Chancellor that is!) for an international tribunal. - solving the problems of migration in Europe and then later - - - the rest of the world!
clearly we WERE eurocrats after all - solving our own problems and then solving others' for them !

Of course the Spanish authorities might have taken the problem a little more seriously if they knew their invaders were to be confined to Spain. If a properly policed Spanish/French border was in place which made crossing the Pyrenees somewhat more tricky then Spain may be a little more resolute. As it is, courtesy of the ridiculous Schengen arrangement, the Spanish know that the invaders will be heading north at their earliest convenience.
