Sorry folks, but this looks like a publicity scam to me. You don’t just fall off a cruise liner unless you have some help from humans or alcohol. No sympathy for this woman, who was probably wearing a hard hat and neck brace when she left the boat.

Well apparently she was well plastered so that would have helped, but I agree there is something very fishy with this story.
She fell off the back. There is CCTV of her fall (not public - yet). She was in the water for 10 hours. She doesn't appear to be being prosecuted. She is being allowed home.

All of this seems to indicate that it was not a publicity stunt!
I can't think of anything much more boring than being stuck on a cruise ship, if ever I found myself so trapped, I think I would immediately jump overboard.
LOL Khandro.
She's put a lot of people to a lot of trouble and looks rather too pleased with herself in my opinion.
Khandro...LOL..LOL

They were exactly my sentiments 25 years ago when Mrs sqad suggested a cruise.
Here we are after at least 30 cruises.......fantastic.
If I "fell overboard" my main concern would be ...SHARKS.....but that hasn't been mentioned.
I almost posted more or less what Khandro just did.

Not for the firt time, you appear to be holding forth on a subject about which you have no knowledge or experience.

If you have tried a cruise and not enjoyed it, fair enough, but your post indicates that you have not, so are not qualified to comment in such negative terms.

As a seasoned cruiser, I can assure you that you would have to work quite hard to be bored.
Seasoned cruiser, does that mean that you are an old salt?
you have to have lifeboat drills at the mustard station, dannyk
