"She has said that EU nationals in the UK will still be welcome to stay." To be fair, AOG, I don't think even the most ardent of Brexiteers (and they don't come much more ardent than me!) wanted or expected wholesale expulsions of people from other EU countries who have legitimately settled here, whatever the terms of our departure. They came in good faith under...

Why were members of the Tory party who are not having mays deal not being disrespectful but the Europeans are .Should Boris and co not have been mentioned as they tried to persuade her not to take that deal to Europe
Well she has well and truly called their bluff now. I just hope she doesn't back down when they come crawling (which I'm sure they will), because they realise the UK has got some backbone, and may with-hold payment above and beyond what we are obliged to pay.
She's been busy pretending that she'll cede no ground since she got to Office. In reality, she'll keep bending over. Eventually, Hard Brexiteers might twig that this is because she *has* to, rather than because she *wants* to... but I won't hold my breath.
"Has to" my foot.
No-deal (truly better than a bad deal) is, and was from the start, an option.
How the heck can anyone claim that exiting in name only comes under, "has to" ?
If she has set the UK the target of leaving the EU, and replacing everything necessary to make that a smooth transition, undoing 40+ years of integration without wrecking the way the UK's economy and trade functions, etc, etc... then yeah, that's impossible. I find it hard to believe that Theresa May doesn't know this, but she probably feels (with some justification, perhaps) that it's better to press on with implementing the referendum result as far as she is able regardless of those difficulties.

To put it bluntly, the only people deluded enough to think that this was remotely achievable have all abdicated responsibility for implementing it, so can get away with saying anything they like and never be held accountable for their lies.

Hardly lies. It was simply assumed that EU officials were mature enough to want to see things went as well as possible, given they had achieved high office that should have been the case. Sadly it turns out they aren't, but just want to dictate everything, cause issues, and refuse any reasonable suggestions. But for that it would have been perfectly achievable.
Mind you, dissent at home probably encouraged their bad behaviour.
Well , Judge Judy has spoken her usual LOB, so we can all sleep tight tonight. OK.
