I am sure that all the doom mongers will pledge to refuse to use the gas and oil that will allow us to enter a new era of prosperity and security in the future decades. To maintain their false position of integrity of course.
using demeaning words like doom mongers while still not providing any facts regarding this topic is half the issue.. do you know much about fracking?
And we've had gas and oil for a while, there will be no new era, if it is, it will be electric. having gas and oil made us realise we need to look into more sustainable and reusable energy's
This is not about integrity (for those who care about the planet).. People want to protect the earth.
Then you must indeed promise that you will under no circumstances use this gas or oil as part of your campaign rather than denying those who wish to the opportunity. But you won't will you? Electrickery is made by magic you know, all free with no infrastructure or manufacturing industry needed at all. Haha you are naïve in the extreme.
As someone who lives reasonably close to the fracking sites, I'd like to say that the protesters have been royal p-i-t-a since the protests began. They have caused Police resources to be diverted and traffic snarl-ups. Many of them seem to be professional agitators in the 'Swampy-mould'.
Rather than be concerned about the earth-tremors people ought to investigate the actual size and magnitude of these tremors.
However, I don't believe there is sufficient use made of cheap renewables when it comes to energy sources......and there are too many companies trousering large amounts of grants, etc. and producing precious little in return when it comes to providing cheap alternatives.
It amazes me just how many of our "enlightened" spokespeople are addicted to and demand ever increasing State benefits...…...then appear to spend them on campaigns to halt the State programmes that are designed to ensure the continuation of the benefits that they receive. Haha poor confused dahlings.
Togo stop being so rude. You've provided no statistics, facts, you've only provided your pompous opinions.
Of course resources are used to generate electricity. You have no idea what i know and on what topics. I just know the resources are better spent in that sector than fossil fuels. If you think differently fair enough but that doesn't give you the right to try and sit on me.
I'm not sure a local gazette would lie about their local magnitude readings or the increased rate of earthquakes however small an increase.. And my understanding of such a thing? Well all i understand is warning signs, and indications of bigger things to come. Fracking has been going on for well over 100 years.. how it's destroyed the landscape in america is just one worry for me. These earthquakes are less of a worry, but a warning sign that isn't being ignored by the frackers, but it is being dismissed by abers who have clearly done exstensive research that they're not willing to share.
The BG wouldn't lie per se(but it often gets things very wrong; as a long-time reader I can say that with confidence) but it hasn't interpreted the data for its' more nervous readers.
JTH this isn't a richter scale lesson. This is viewing the affects that fracking has had on the environment and how "natural" tremors have increased and hit record breaking levels. We can't ignore that simply because a bigger earthquake happened somewhere else at some point..
