the video you provided was simply the different magnitudes of tremor.. Nothing about fracking at all. Same as you Togo you're literally the only one talking about central heating

When you informed me that this isn't 'about the Richter Scale'.

How else do you think they are measuring the magnitude of these tiny tremors? What else do you think they are using to determine the 'scale'?
The youtube video explains that the Richter Scale isn't a linear-progression. The difference between a Mag. 2 tremor and a Mag. 1 (simply speaking) in a 32-fold increase in the energy rleased by the tremor.

What i meant by this isn't about the Richter scale is.. the magnitude of the tremors isn't as vital as the increase in them.. this means the earth is moving (or some would say "settling") at a much faster rate. The tremors are also increasing in magnitude which is something to note.

My main point about fracking is.. these vital elements and chemicals belong in the ground. They supply nutrients to the landscape. Taking these away doesn't just leave a physical gap in the ground, but also takes away the chemicals and nutrients used to supply our land with what it does. Butterfly affect.

There was no testing before the fracking commenced, therefore there is no 'before' to test the tremors 'after' the fracking began against.

There is bound to be some activity because fracking is similar to letting a firework off underground and you would expect that to show up on the sensitive equipment.

The 'increase' in the tremors may be significant but there is nothing to suggest that they will increase in magnitude and/or cause any damage above ground.

That i agree with.. there was no testing before.. But now they've had their biggest recorded earthquake at the fracking site which caused them to pause for over 18 hours they can now use that to compare to the rest.

The hoops that Cuadrilla had to jump through were many and onerous in order to secure permission to drill and frack.

Quite why the levels at which fracking would stop were chosen, I do not know. BUT they are extremely low and as soon as they are broached, works cease, athat is true.

However, these tremors have been detected by nothing other than the machines designed and set to do so.

Stargazer's OP is about tremors/earthquakes and not about chemicals, etc., if you now want to argue those points, you'll nedd to go to another question.
