if she goes, who would take her place at this late stage, and if the deal doesn't get through Parliament what happens next.

As pretty and amusing as it is, your allegory is incongruous, Karl. Most of the people who voted to leave the “bowls club” have no wish to retain any of its benefits or use any of its facilities. The reason the current mess has arisen is because our illustrious leaders who have been “negotiating” our departure have viewed the exercise as one of damage...

there is no need to get personal, this thread has been ongoing and i am generally pleased its remained relatively amicable for want of a better word.
a) All Leavers do not fear "No Deal". Bring it on, take the hit others have forced, and build afresh.
b) A "No Deal" scenario would have been forced by intransigence by the EU aided by remoaner dissent at home. They will be held accountable for the mess by any rational individual who studies the history. Although, no doubt, both parties will deny their involvement and try to pass blame onto those trying to free our nation.
// by constantly carping and making mischief.//

whenever AOG asks if hordes of Nigerians will come in and murder all the Brexiteers in their beds - you know on a daily basis - one running today !
there are times when I cant resist murmuring - ever so softly - Oh yes please.....
I'm fine with disagreement -- what I am not fine with is your consistent inability to offer up anything more than an unjustified "rubbish/garbage". At least back up that claim, if you have to be so dismissive. That's all I'm asking.
//Bring it on, take the hit others have forced, and build afresh. //

Out of interest, OG, what kind of hit do you imagine no deal would be?
As I said Jim, we are never going to agree on Brexit.Let's just leave it at that.

a dip economically perhaps. But there must be contingency plans if there is a No Deal, that would be madness if there weren't.
I've no wish to imagine. I suspect a reduction in trade while we build up, more cgecking/delays, a return to WTO for the most part. And various interested countries and trade groups eager to take advantage of new trade opportunities, or try to re-establish as much of the ones the EU negotiations hit as they possibly can. But whatever will be will be; we'll go through the disruption and be better for it whatever form it takes.
Emmie, according to the government they have been making plans for some while in event of a 'no deal' exit.

what next i ask myself, when do the MP's get to vote, does anyone know.
Does TM know something about the support her ridiculous deal has in Parliament that we don’t?

It seems that it is more or less universally disliked by cross party MPs both remain and leave. But she is confident it will get through.

Is she deluded or does she really and truely know something?
Labour, the DUP and the SNP have all stated their intention of voting it down, each for their own reason.

she has been in talks with businesses today at the CBI, if they are constructive then she may have a foot in the door, but she stills has to get it through Parliament.
Emmie, on the news it was announced that the CBI had criticised her plan.
Question Author
criticised but not totally dismissed you mean....
