I do LOVE these posts where the people who have voted to leave the EU because of the supposedly tyrannical nature of their influence over us, go on to completely condemn those who are about to have complete control over us. It’s oxymoronic in the extreme.
Jeremy Corbyn will renegotiate a Brexit deal by March 29 if he wins a snap election.
That maybe what he thinks now - if he thinks at all - but that is pure fantasy.
Who cares what she thinks? I suspect many clebs think they influence the public but the reality is almost certain to be somewhat different.
They are perfectly entitled to their opinion but some should be careful especially on political subjects as it could adversly affect them or their sponsors. For instance I no longer buy Walkers crisps.
And I don’t go near Wetherspoons. Or I probably would go near but not actually in. Just to make a point.
(Bathes in smug self righteousness :-) )
As far as I can see, any time Corbyn opens his mouth he’s scorning the intelligence of ordinary people.
But, unlike many other industry leaders, Wetherspoons boss is making plans for our departure - hopefully with "no deal" - rather than sitting on his hands whinging and moaning. He has outlets in both the UK and the EU and buys his products from both inside and outside the EU. Like Lord Bamford of JCB he sees no particular problems with trading on WTO terms.
Got to laugh at Saint JK of the Gimmegrants.
Number of spare bedrooms- 97
Number of Gimmegrants housed- 0
Number of perfectly good five bedroom homes knocked down because they spoiled the view from her twenty bedroom house- 1
The woman's literally a martyr to her cause. ;)
It’s because of Tim Martin. A man who seems to consistently sound as though he’s just come from a funeral ;-)
The jolly voice of Brexit ;-)
But really what JK Rowling or anyone else thinks is Jess important than the fact that Jeremy Corbyn is talking out of his Lenin hat. Just because it’s JKR dissing him doesn’t make it any better. I guess if Gary Lineker started doing it then Corbyn would be ahead in the AB opinion polls :-)
"...but will they be representing themselves as Nations?"
Probably not. But then nor should Scotland or England. They are simply constituent parts of the UK. The fact that various sporting bodies choose to call such matches "internationals" (coupled with the idea that the UK government has organised things so that each has its own "Parliament") is scarcely a good enough reason to suggest that the UK consists of four independent nations.
