The main reason to care about Brazil, if you can find none other, is the rainforest there. Bolsonaro is, to put it mildly, no environmentalist, so it's likely that the threat to that natural resource, the life within it, and the impact on the wider global climate, will be far greater under his presidency than under someone else's.

We don't live in a world that's large enough to not care about what happens outside the UK.
