Your answer is a helicopter?

Look Spath, please go and research search and rescue techniques. You clearly are very naive on the subject if you think you will find a dead body in the sea from a helicopter.

And helicopters are dangerous over sea in the winter too you know. Most likely what bought this plane down was ice. Helicopters can suffer badly in icy conditions. so same applies. You want to risk the lives of others to find a corpse.
Pleased to hear it.
Hopefully I've got the plot back, then? :)

"Look before you leap" seems fairly apposite :P
Although, to be fair, given the general context of the thread, I suppose one more outrageously poor comparison is easy to take too literally.
Experts have said the plane didn’t break up upon impact otherwise there would have been debris. It’s at the bottom of the ocean.

Naomi your "incredulous"ness comes across as pompous.

It's not just the rudeness to me but the superiority attitude that is directed at other abers also. I'm not sure what's entitled you to feel that way.

spath, this thread isn't about your assessment of me.

I'm probably wrong and sorry for the directness but it's just my perception towards an attitude i see now and again. But yes, correct, it's not.

Rest assured i've nothing against anyone you simply leave me flustered dearie
I'm not responsible for your problems, spath.

Aye, it's annoying that I have only myself to blame
Perhaps this draws comparisons with the search operation currently going on in Spain for Julen in the bore hole. He has been gone 12 days with no food/water and probably no oxygen, yet they are still battling to reach him. Goodness knows the cost of it all.
jazzyjen, I don't think that compares either. This plane is gone.
Exactly what I meant - it seems futile to carry on when there is practically no hope of a good outcome.
In the case of the Spanish boy, whether or not he is dead I am sure that his family will want to recover the body for a proper burial. And if he is alive after all, against all odds, then not a penny will have been wasted.
Where there's hope ....
And, they know the boy is in the bore hole. They are looking in the right place. The plane lost radar contact and could have come down anywhere.
All over Twitter this stupid comparison.

Nobody will make the same ludicrous comparison on Answerbank I said to myself.

Sorry Spath, I momentarily forgot about you.
