who is Robert Peston ?
the man from Preston
is he an ordinary boy ?
Can't agree with you grumpy, he generally makes a lot of sense and most of his predictions tend to come true.
He is a political pundit and presents his own show on politics afte the ITV News at Ten on which he also appears for his views. Has a very annoying manner of exaggerated speech with much rolling of eyes.
Forgot to mention he knows and understands more about what is going on in the political world than I ever will. :-)
actually if you want to hear brilliance, pull up Tony Blairs's R4 interview on Brexit ten days ago - absolutely brilliant, logical and lucid but then he was a barrister - and I can't stand the man.

BLAIR!!!!

I wouldn't allow that shyster in my house even through the air waves.
I don't like all these political shows , they always seem to constantly interrupt the person they are interviewing and don't them them finish what they are saying .
He speaks the way he does to control his stammer.
Bodecker; the reason they interrupt is because, given half a chance, most politicians will answer a question with a party political broadcast.
Ken , Yes I can understand that lol just wish they could get a balance .
I didn;t realise he has a stammer - that does explain his rather idiosincractic delivery style.

I think he is very knowledgable - you don;t get to his level by talking nonsense - at least not as a journalist - as a politician, that's a different matter!
// they always seem to constantly interrupt the person they are interviewing and don't them them finish what they are saying . //

Letting someone finish a sentence, or complete the answer to a question seems to be the the thing TV journalists dread the most. Should they ever let it happen by mistake, it brings such shame on the profession, their code of honour obliges them to disembowel themselves with a sword.
