yeah i like the bit where there is a sound off
plop-plop!
Leeam - or Loo-am for it is he: I was brought opp in Nordern Oireland is that the sound of muffled gonfire ?
Interviewer - no it is you Looam flushing your career away
different way of looking at this disgusting episode
I really hope he hasn't. It's a risky thing to say because it was so blindingly obvious that people would latch on to the first part of his account, the utterly shameful idea that he wanted to attack the first black person he saw, and miss the second bit, how ashamed he is of it already.
well when I was drinking ....
yeah canal street manchester
just going home 2 am after chucking out time
and met a fella wivva - - car jack on the street
and I said look we can take you to your car if you want ....
and he said no I am going after the doorman who has just chucked me out ....
and yes dear reader we managed to persuade him to go BACK to his car and drive home .... ( 1990)
Sounds like he did a poor job of recounting an example in his life of when he has sought revenge - something he should have kept to himself. When he asked "What colour?", presumably he was just trying to identify the culprit and therefore narrow down the search - I don't believe that bit was racist.
If what he says is true it wasn’t about race per sa but about vigilantism.
If the man who raped his friend (and I suspect it was someone closer as he goes on to say come home from work and asks how they are) was black you would ‘go after’ black men, if he had been Chinese , then go after chines man, if white go after white men. It has nothing to do with race other than the race of the rapist.
But why mention it now? Oh that’s right he has a similar themed film coming out.
hey you know the film starring Ben Kingsley as the spook and the torturer in Northern ireland - steak-knife or scappaticcci ?
imagine if scappaticci in real life gave and interview
"now in real life I never found a car battery gave a enough oomph when you are electrocuting someone ...."
if he had been Chinese , then go after chines man,
erm when I offered to take a gurl to the bus stop in Hong Kong she said - you dont understand - chinese men dont attack women - it is quite safe to go around HK at midnight alone ......
yeah OK it might be different in belfast - they are all anim .......
Neeson grew up as a Catholic in a predominantly Protestant town where there was lots of violence and troubles in the past.
As he stated. It was some time ago.
Hatred to white Protestants as well.
NI was very troubled in those days (Thankfully a lot calmer now).
He was relating an old experience of his past IMO.
And one that he said he's Ashamed of.
Racism was high back in the 70's (I presume it may have been around this time)
A lot of us will remember certain programmes on TV from that era which would not be allowed today because of the racist remarks.
A lot of us probably laughed at such remarks.
We've evolved and I'm sure he has too with the way we look at racism.
Somebody mentioned a possible PR stunt. A VERY POOR ONE IF TRUE.
But I still believe that he was recalling a very angry moment in his life that he is 'Ashamed of'.
And I wonder how the media has put this story together also.
Maybe he started his interview with 'I'm going to tell you a part of my deep dark past that I'm deeply ashamed of'
But that wouldn't be the media to write anything verbatim.
Stir the S*** pot first and then leak little by little each day whilst selling their tabloids.
He told a story of his past that he is ashamed of.
That's how I see it.
