Tommy Robinson has had his facebook and instagram account terminated. Facebook says he has continually violated its community standards with hate speech against Muslims.

Is you use social media in ways that violate their policies around organised hate then surely you're a bad person?

"Oh dear, how sad, never mind."

And that just about sums your attitude up. I wonder if it will be the same on something you feel is wrong? Knowing you I somehow doubt it.
YMB - // "Facebook are not required to prove anything - they can terminate his account because they don't like his baby blue eyes if they feel like it - that is their right."

But they didn't did they, they used an inflammatory and potentially defamatory reason. As I said above if they just terminated the account then that would be the end of the matter - but they just couldnt help themselves could they? //

Well, if 'Tommy' is as het up about it as you, he has recourse to legal action - let's see if he sues Facebook for defamation shall we?

Could be tricky though - I don't imagine Facebook's lawyers - and they will make 'Tommy's' team look like first-years'- are going to allow a statement like that out there if they don't think they can defend it, if called upon to do so.

Let's see what he does, shall we?

I'll ask again. What did he say?
Perhaps easier to read what they actually said and look further - 'statements on the page' (some are outlined) - not all necessarily by TR.

He'll never be off Social Media in one way or another, this thread is evidence to that much at least.

Of course it won't be the same! I will defend something I believe in every bit as passionately as you do, and if you are the polar opposite, you can, and will, scoff at my passionate arguments.

You think 'Tommy Robinson' is a valid social commentator with a conscience and a burning desire to help this country, who has been seriously maligned by a faceless mega-rich company.

I think 'Tommy Robinson' is a ludicrous egotistical gobby thug who has got exactly what he deserved, and sweet is the notion that his media platform from which he preaches his garbage has been pulled from under him.

That's where we are.
He can’t lose Robinson: he’s either allowed to carry on as he is or he gets himself banned and plays the victim. When he complains about victimisation it’s never the same as when others do it: everyone else is a “snowflake” or whatever the term is.
I'm wondering how long sandyRoe's post at 13:26 will be allowed to remain. I'm guessing indefinitely.... even though there are mods around.

Why haven't you removed that, andy-hughes? It has to rank as one of the most abusive posts ever on here.
I hope those calling for sandy’s head will note the irony of that ;-)
Andy, it's never a good idea to repeat an inflammatory post.

Moderators' actions are not discussed on here, I think you know that.
Mamya - // Andy, it's never a good idea to repeat an inflammatory post. //

Indeed not, a slip in the heat of the moment.
andy-hughes, but you've repeated it...... so it's still there.

Thanks to the mod who removed it. Disgusting comment.
Pressure being put on the referee I think there :-)
Naomi - // andy-hughes, but you've repeated it...... so it's still there. //

Actually, it's not, but I do apologise for quoting it.
Good. Well done to whoever removed it.
