In tonights votes, the Beckett Referendum2 option will get approved, because May has instructed Ministers to abstain.
She has scheduled her deal to be resubmitted for voting on Friday.
Faced with an option of a Referendum 2 or May’s deal, Johnson, Rees-Mogg and ERG will all vote through May’s terrible deal.

So May wins?

// "Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; .......... blah blah blah and the rest of it see above .....ence and determination alone are omnipotent." //

Calvin Coolidge

erm he wasnt a very good President you know
Thought it wasnt the function of the fed to get america out of poverty - FDR DID - - with the New Deal for America !

Coolidge is rated along with rutherford hayes with being one of the worst ( prezzes ) [ ruther ford who?]
Whether it’s blackmail or bribery, those who have been saying “it’s a carp deal and I can’t support it” who appear to be changing their minds, are now showing their true colours, hoping they can climb further up the career ladders.
What a bunch of duplicitous slime balls.
Does May not even like her own deal when she is willing to let others put it into action and does she just want it to be calls mays deal .
With all that merciless whipping of MPs, I’m sure we can forgive a little consensual speaking from The Spanker ...
DUP came out against it so who knows where that leaves anything?
//DUP came out against it//

Yes, and adding that they would vote against the "deal", rather than abstain as JRM had hoped for He came out with something like "non imprimatur, nihil obstat" which I believe is forrin of some kind.
//Some Brexiters will support May’s deal if May promises to go//

And they should hang their heads in shame. She's the author of this disaster but ultimately the outcome isn't about her.
I think they are turning because they've listened too much to chants of no deal being off the table, and lost faith in the ability of the House to deliver a Brexit. But actually voting for that deal; well that's inexcusable really. They should stand up for what they believe in, and which parliament promised to deliver.
OG, it's more than inexcusable. I cant find the words ...
Apologies to Gromit for a small digression.

Naomi, Nailit asked a question earlier about Karen Armstrong.
Thanks v_e, I'll take a look.
Not too long ago, many (JRM & Boris among them)were saying that this was the worst deal ever. Now they both indicate that they would vote for the deal? Come the next election, they will both attend their hustings telling their constituents just what they will do should they win their seats. And their noses will just get longer and longer.

And they should hang their heads in shame."

The first time in this whole affair on which we are in full agreement.
Let's see what Robin Tilbrook and the English Democrats have up their sleeves for Monday. Judicial Review proceedings?

None of the motions got approved.
I know Danny. Good.
They weren’t motions. That isn’t picking holes, it’s an important distinction
So what were they? Are not indicative votes initiated by motions?
ich From the parliament website:-
//Following an amendment to Monday's Government motion on Brexit next steps, MPs will today have the opportunity to participate in indicative votes on various Brexit-related motions.
