Ok, talbs, I am clearly making no sense... one more try... for the Queen and those whose actual job is to entertain these guests, there is not really a choice, it's a job. For everyone else, we can notice that Trump is a revolting individual, which he doesn't bother to hide, and decline to attend/ protest / complain. Delete as appropriate...
It might help if Trump had some respect for the position he holds... social media clearly does him no favours.
Nobody should have to condone something that they disagree with.
I know that the Queen has had to be polite to a lot of unsavoury characters. This one, though, will be greeted by many detractors. I would be one of them. If I were to be invited to an honorary function, I would say, 'Stick that up your jumper!' I can't bear to look at him. He is gross.
Keep it clean mind - no low blows
what we cant say that Trumpo may treat her maj as a piece of boodie?
or
if her maj says to the President of the United States
is your chicken breast tender Mr Trump
and he says ...
or the President of the Land of the Free refers to Mr Corbyn and asks - - why is the Labour Party like Kentucky Fried Chicken of which, your majesty, I am half owner
and her maj says - the tender half Mr Trump?
an Mr trump eager to deliver the two liner says No
because they are bother all left wing and arrissholes !
Trump is a self promoting egotist that at times comes across as rather childish.
Having said that the Liberal leftard Democrates hate him for having the temerity of beating Hillary Clinton in 2016. Because of that hatred they constantly and loudly tell gullible people how disgusting, corrupt, spiteful..... add any and every nasty horrible thing you have ever heard about any fascist dictator...
Because of that hate, spite and vitriol they have convinced people he is the worst president that has ever lived.
They ignore the good things he has done. They convince people that the good things they are willing to admit he has done (or more likely can’t say haven’t happened) they say he has done a good thing for a bad reason.
They are so good at vitriolic spin that the Democrats have convinced the majority of people they have had a tax increase since he came to power. They are very proud of that bit of spin because the true fact is more Americans pay less tax now than they did under Obama.
They don’t care that the things Trump does is the exact same thing Obama did. They hate it because Trump is doing it and ignore that Obama did it (whatever it happens to be).
So he might not act in the way you expect a politician to act but the spin is such that you will never know, or perhaps admit, that he is actually a good president.
Corbyn has completely demonstrated he is not fit to take public office. A PM of this or any other country should be prepared to make certain sacrifices and be prepared to make unpleasant decisions for the greater good of the country he and his party governs and not just pick and choose because of personal dislikes.
He should be excluded from all matters of State from now on
If, God forbid, he were to ever become PM it would serve him right if he was excluded from the guest list for the State Banquet of the President of Venezuela but he Majesty would not be so churlish and petty.
am
Andres at 20.18 yesterday is completely right about the reason for Donald Trump's visit being to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D Day in June. Therefore as he is President of the U.S. he should at least be shown respect for the office he holds even if he is not universally popular.Re Jeremy Corbyn's non acceptance of the invitation to attend the State banquet,it should be remembered that until he was parachuted into his position as Labour leader he was only ever a serial protester from the back benches and his associations with various dubious organisations are well known. The country is in terrible state with Mother Theresa at the helm,we are a laughing stock, however if Corbyn,God forbid, were to win an election we would be a whole lot worse.
