I guess it might just help some of the general public decide on how to vote in the next General Election (if the new leader lasts that long). The problem with that hypothesis is that, like with many so-called "reality" shows, the public's favourite doesn't always win.

It could turn out to be quite entertaining (but I won't hold my breath).

The last two Prime Minister have been unbelievably terrible. And yet we have a crop of wannabes who are off the scale in terms of blandness and uselessness. It is highly likely that the next one will be much worse.
I certainly won’t be watching ‘Britain’s got no talent’.

They should put a rank outsider up. Someone who has spent 20 or 30 years sniping from the back. Someone who has had a checkered past cosying up to terrorists and such like.

I think they should do that as a way to be inclusive and have candidates from all spectrums.

Rory Stewart was on Channel 4 news tonight and he said that, if he was chosen to be the next PM, he would guarantee that he would rule out leaving without a deal and he would rule out a 2nd referendum. He then went on to say he would get together a 'jury' of ordinary folk who would, over a certain period, discuss what it is they want from Brexit. He then said, that whatever they recommend will be taken into account. Jon Snow asked him if they recommended leaving without a deal or they chose a 2nd referendum, what then? Don't think he had quite worked this one out because he was a tad stumped for a sensible answer. He's not that clever, imho.
