Yes he's correct, just not politically so.

Just another old fart spouting off whilst wearing rose tinted specs.
May be this link works. Mr Cleese better avoid gay Paree as well. I have no wish to return there now . :-(

so he's taken his filthy foreign ways to Nevis, where he'll really be in a minority community. I do hope they're more tolerant than he is. Still, there's some humour in the way he's turned into the sort of person he used to satirise.
London - capital of England and the UK - has a majority population of immigrants, or the descendants of immigrants. The chirpy cockney has long since left, but may have a grandmother in her late eighties surrounded by beards and burkas. So that grandmother who was once a girl of five who knew the blitz and the V2 rockets and the doodle-bugs is now living a lonely life.

Lonely old English women living in an alien environment are unlikely to engage the sympathies of AB's multiculturalists. And frequently their contempt.

And then the facts on London’s population:
White British - 45%
Asian - 18%

And on ITV right now it’s Good Morning Bangladesh
The denial of the blatantly obvious is rather nauseating.
Let’s all hold hands and celebrate our forced diversity as we dance around the corpse of our dying culture.

Gromit, whatever your source, you only need open your eyes in London to see those figures are inaccurate. Besides it’s not just about Asians.
Not many Greeks but and Eastern Europeans have burkas though, nor Afro Caribbeans, but yes many from North Africa do.
It depends where you go in London of course. Some areas are well over 70% Asian heritage or from other Muslim countries, and some areas are more black skinned than brown, but many areas are still 80% white British?european- eg walk down Oxford Street or go to the Theatre. Wimbledon will be 98% white.
London has certainly changed since the war though in terms of ethnicity.
As pointed out above, it depends where you are. However I have seen much of the central part change and not for the better so overall I think Cleese is correct.

Gromit, there are lies, damned lies and statistics.
Presumably, statistics being not lies in this case.
Clover, without context they are meaning less.

Stats can be twisted to mean whatever you want. Notice Gromit only picked out the Asians, why? because he knew to write the full list would not back his argument. Also he doesnt state over what area the stats are taken or when or by whom.

Like I say there are lies, damned lies and statistics.

Aye they’re all up here, with their whinging, squeaky voices, they sound like a thousand blackboards getting scraped by teachers nails all at once

/// Same as New York. When was it every really English? ///

America has always been a multicultural, multi racial country, England has not, and look how America turned out, now we seem to be like them?
I had never heard of drugs until I saw the 1955 Frank Sinatra film, 'The Man With The Golden Arm' and quite frankly it scared me to death, now that drug culture has been imported into this country, along with gang culture, with their drive by shootings and knife stabbings.
Drugs have always been widely used.
//America has always been a multicultural, multi racial country, England has not,//
Lol, good old Anglo Saxon angleland

America hasn't always been multi-cultural. Many argue that their indigenous peoples suffered genocide in the 18th and 19th centuries.
