I agree, many years ago I visited Paris and stayed in a lovely hotel in the Paris district of Saint Denis, it was lovely and also safe to walk it's streets, but look at it now?

Obviously I can't speak about London but we have fewer of the small independent shops but that's largely economics and is widespread.

We do have some traditional shops too and very well patronised they are.

What about if every house in your street and most of your district, was occupied by Blacks or Muslims?

ummmm----That is exactly what happened in the 60/70s in a lot of northern towns. The Asians moved in and the English moved out.

Apparently a lot of white flight is the fear that one's property value is most likely to drop should the area become a ghetto.White people flee before their value falls.

ummmm---It had to start somewhere and the north of England meant lots of factories and mills . Lots of work .Decent wages. Cheap houses etc.
