Anyone know the real reason why there is an organised mass protest against the President of the United States visit to the UK, and what organisations are behind these protests?
Obama and Bush both had protests against their State visits.
Those protesters were mainly antiwar and antiglobalisation. Those manifested themselves as liberal peace activists and anarchists.
I imagine Trump will face the same people.
Load of idiots who would cut their nose off to spite their face.
No matter what you think of him he is the President of the United Stares and by acting the way they are they disrespect him and the country he represents.
That can of worms is ever open and will probably remain so until he leaves office. AOG asked a question and i was offering possible answers. Far too easy, not to say downright lazy, to repeat the mantra, "It's the 'lefties' what done it". Even if true. And, before anyone from the left jumps down my throat, no, i'm not saying it is.
Ah! interesting you put that reason at the top of your list, the usual race card played yet again.
Yes I agree that is and has always been the main reason for his dislike amongst those who would let anyone in their countries.
President Trump could see what had happened in Europe due to their open border madness, and that was the reason why he banned all those who wanted to enter the USA from certain Muslim countries.
But also his attempts to stop the influx of unlimited migrants entering the US from Mexico.
One can't blame him for this, it is a pity that our leaders had not also taken similar strong action.
Ah, interesting that you targeted 'his racism' has your main topic in reply to my post, AOG. Interesting but not unexpected:-/ Wonder how you would have worded your reply had i chose it last. By the way, the order of my suggestions was totally random.
Trump was literally just about to touch down when he sent a childish tweet about the Mayor of London -- which, I assume, is disrespectful of the office of Mayor of London and the city he represents.
When Trump starts showing respect for the office of POTUS, so will I.
I've just read the tweet in which he even has a dig at Khan's height. How utterly childish is that. He may be the most powerful man in the world but he regularly comes across as the most juvenile man in the world.
ken: "I've just read the tweet in which he even has a dig at Khan's height. How utterly childish is that." I don't think Khan can be entirely absolved in the childish area. Encouraging a blimp caricature to fly during the visit of the head of state for the US is pretty well up there in the childish stakes.
I mean, not that it matters really, but at least 90% of the problem in 2016 is that Hillary Clinton wasn't "their woman", as far as left-wingers were concerned. It says a lot about your view of things, TTT, that you thought otherwise.
