I certainly recognise that speech. It sounds very similar to a highly praised speech attributed to Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard. This speech was denied and snopes said it was a HOAX. It went viral. It is strange no one turned a hair when it was circulated but then it wasn't attributed to POTUS was it? //: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT....

Thanks Togo for the 18.42 answer. Now it is a lot clearer as to why he was so angry with those four women.
Where was Trump from if you go back a couple of generations? Where is Mrs Trump from?
He has a serious problem with how he expresses himself.
> "Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."

Just for the avoidance of doubt, that's a racist thing that he tweeted. Now if somebody would care to explain how that's not racist, especially when referring to the three congresswomen born in the USA, please go ahead ...

Why don't you tell us what was racist about it instead? Remember now.... they called Pelosi a racist(woman of colour) and Trump took them to task. So your chance to explain Trump's racism is there to seize.
> Why don't you tell us what was racist about it instead?

OK - avoiding the question by asking a question. Never mind' I'll play along.

It was telling them to "go back" to a place they never came from. It would be like telling Trump to "go back" to Scotland.

> Remember now.... they called Pelosi a racist(woman of colour) and Trump took them to task.

Racism is not defined by what the people you were being racist about did to cause you to be racist about them.
//It was telling them to "go back" to a place they never came from. It would be like telling Trump to "go back" to Scotland. //

Yes.....but how is that defined as racist? If you told someone to go to hell would that be racist?
Just to add.....Trump is very proud to point out that his mother was from Scotland. So proud that he even bought huge tracts of land and has business interests there in her honour.
So we can’t complain about anything in the country we call home? Where would I go, for instance, if I didn’t like Boris Johnson as PM of UK.
> Yes.....but how is that defined as racist?

More questions - your turn to answer one.

> "go back [to] the totally broken and crime infested places from which [you] came"

How is that not racist when referring to the three congresswomen born in the USA?
Ellipsis, //"go back [to] the totally broken and crime infested places from which [you] came" //

Did he say that?

The last I heard he said, "If you are not happy living here you can always leave". Not the same thing at all.
Can they leave, though? Where would they go?
Some Mexicans don’t want to stay in Mexico. Where can they go? Not the US if Trump has his way.
Their choice. The world is their oyster.
> Did he say that?

He said what I posted 19:31 Wed 17th Jul 2019: "Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."

He tweeted it here on 14th July:

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1150381395078000643
Cloverjo, the US can't accept all the Mexicans who want to live in the US. It simply can't. And it isn't only Mexicans. It seems a good proportion of South America is clamouring to get into the US too. It simply isn't reasonable to expect the US to fling it's gates wide open. It can't.
Ellipsis. No he didn't say that "to the three congresswomen born in the USA". He said it to those //who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, //

... but don't let the truth stop you.
Naomi, he was talking about exactly those people. Rather than take my word for it, I suggest you read some of his later tweets - straight from the POTUS himself.

Then you can read all of the news coverage, both positive and negative.

Even take a look at why the US House of Representatives condemned him:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-49011843

Then tell me, if he wasn't attacking those women, exactly who he was attacking and why only you see this and everyone else in the world, including the President himself, has it wrong.
Ellipsis: He said it to those //who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, //

That from his tweet.

I've read the news coverage - just as I've read the disingenuous garbage posted on here.
Ilhan Omar, hero of the left. Hates America, loves Al Qaeda. Loves her own brother so much she married him. (yuk, even if it was just a scheme to defraud the US Tax and Immigration authorities.)
Read the news.........on the aBBC.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
