There is no comparison between the UK at the time when Capital Punishment was the law of the land, and the populace understood the role of the national executioner, a government employee, and a country with twelfth century backwards barbaric lawlessness where bigots can and do appoint themselves as arbiters of law, and abuse and murder people at will.
