Speedy recovery
Horrendous unprovoked attack on a man doing his duty
I hope he pulls through but at least he was able to taser the scum who did it and he's now in police custody

Ok thanks for your help x
Once again the police and press seem reluctant to fully describe the assailant, although they hasten to rule out a terrorist attack.

The time as come for our police to carry firearms.
///The time as come for our police to carry firearms. (sic)///

Perhaps that is a decision best left to the Officers who would have to carry them?
This sounds a dreadful attack and I wish the injured Officer a speedy and full recovery.
I have fixed the link in the OP.
Thank goodness he's stable and also that they have the attacker.

Who'd have the job.
AOG - // Once again the police and press seem reluctant to fully describe the assailant, although they hasten to rule out a terrorist attack. //

There are often operational reasons why details are retained, and the advice of a 'non-terrorist' attack prevents public panic.
(The time as for our police officers to carry firearms )
We do tend to pussy foot around in the UK, before the penny drops.

In this instance, it would appear that the office would have had no time to deploy a weapon.
///Once again the police and press seem reluctant to fully describe the assailant...///

And they haven't 'fully described' the Police Officer, either.....
The assailant has been described as being in his 50s

I think you will find that a Taser Gun could be described as a weapon or did you not read the report?

/// The policeman, aged in his 30s, managed to use his Taser despite having been stabbed. The attacker was then arrested by another officer. ///

You type some rubbish at times but this is your best yet.

Well that certainly narrows it down.

But to humour jack-the-hat the policeman was in his 30s.
No, what you mean is that they haven't confirmed your suspicion that the assailant will be someone 'of colour' who had attacked a 'white' officer.

The sub-text of your posts is never far from the surface....
Time for all officers to be armed IMHO. I really could not give a toss whether a piece of scum like this who injured seriously a police officer doing his duty is shot dead.
