Riding on the dodgems at a funfair, jumping about on trampolines, dancing at Notting Hill Carnival , Going on Big Brother. What next?
The police force is becoming too lax.
//I would think that this crazy yearly event qualifies as a criminal incident//

Is this the crux of the matter AOG? You're using the dancing coppers as a baton to beat the carnival down with? Is it a case of not being too bothered about the policemen, but really wanting the Notting Hill Carnival stopped?
I posted this before seeing your last post, which obviously answers it.
//An event in it's self can't commit a crime, but going on it's past history, if this event had been banned from taking place, there would have been no arrests and 11 police officers not hurt//

There potentially would've been many, many more arrests and injuries if the carnival was cancelled. The possibility of riots from the community as a circumstance of that action is considerable.
AOG isn’t really miffed about dancing coppers but more than a little miffed (as he is every year) that this festival for a community that he considers non British is allowed to proceed!

So there we have it, if we don't kowtow to them, they will riot.

Time to bring back your water cannons Boris.

I would think that this crazy yearly event qualifies as a criminal incident, the first day of this event has so far seen 97 arrests and 11 officers hurt with yet another day to go. //

That makes as much sense as your previous comparison - i.e. - non whatsoever.
AOG - // So there we have it, if we don't kowtow to them, they will riot. //

Who exactly is 'them'?

Obviously I know, and anyone else on here who knows you at all knows as well, I just wonder if you have the courage of your convicitons to say who 'they' are?
Yes.

They're on duty.
Bring (buy)back a load of scrap that never did a thing, how much will it cost this time?

The 'British' conduct many traditional festivals, but without the stabbings, drug taking, damage to property and assaults on police officers, why should we continue year after year to allow this troublesome one to take place?

Imagine if the so called 'Far-Right' were to put on a festival, it would be banned before it even took place, just in case it offended anyone.

Do you have evidence to back up your apparent belief that this dubious event is cooked up year in year out by feckless immigrants who obviously don't belong here?

It would depend what sort of festival it was wouldn't it? No-one would object to music and dancing would they?

Oh, and by the way, being 'far right' is a choice, being black is not.
I wonder how AOG lives with himself being so filled with dislike and disrespect towards his fellow man.
Perhaps he has a picture in the attic?

Better to ask those who call them the 'community'.

But I am intelligent enough to figure out they are referring to the black community, taking into account that this particular festival is for them.

Perhaps I am wrong in thinking that some like you are also intelligent enough, not to have to have the word black to be spelled out to you?

Just shows how wrong one can be at times.
AOG - // But I am intelligent enough to figure out they are referring to the black community, taking into account that this particular festival is for them. //

The Notting Hill Carnival is for the community who live in the area, be they black or white.

They don't distinguish colour - only you do that.

Being a stickler for accusing people of stating things that you have never said, please prove to me that "I hold an apparent belief that this dubious event is cooked up year in year out by feckless immigrants who obviously don't belong here"?

Oh yes, I bet they hate this event taking place, year after year, or would that be only the white community who live in the area? How very racist of them.

I do as a matter of fact, it is one of 'The Laughing Cavalier'.

Just to use your words " I just wonder if you have the courage of your convicitons to say" that I am a racist?
