Ellipsis, in the link she is shown in front of a microphone,so presume that she has said something as well as tweeting.
And today, children, our favourite word is 'Odious'.
Retro, yes she is a labour MP but your thread heading is so misleading. When i first saw it, i thought JC had made it part of his election manifesto. Only to find, of course, that you had been quite melodramatic with your choice of words. And the world turns.
Ken , I haven't noticed any of the Labour hierarchy disassociating themselves or the Labour Party from her remarks.
As if it were needed, this thread illustrates the gulf between retro cops and retro lawyers.
Wonder if any have been asked to, Danny. And why give this woman more credence than she deserves.
DANNY, in that photo, the logo on the lectern says "LABOUR 2016" so it must have been at their Conference that year.
Sorry Corby, I missed that.
Corby, //[she] spoke out after the Prime Minister said he will temporarily close down the Commons //

That's just an old picture.
The intelligent move to abolish an anachronistic part of government should be a separate issue to the monarch apparently presently being the only way to keep undemocratic MPs in order. Makes no sense to mix the issues up; it's not like parliament have put together a new system that prevents them going against the people's wishes yet. Present that first, and if it's a goer then we can have a government reorg and no longer need someone given privilege by dint of birth to sort the likes of the present MPs out.
OG , Are you forgetting that it is [i]Her Majesty;s [i] government ?
You seem to think that has to be important. Plenty of nations have government without any monarch at the top. I often wonder why the need for a "Head of State" anyway. Governments need to talk; Heads of State having nice tete a tetes seem superfluous.
OG, We are not other nations, but we are the envy of some of those due to the fact that we have a monarchy.
I’m not sure we’re they envy of anybody at the moment.
ZM, I was referring to the monarchy, not parliament.
I know. My statement still stands. Thank for we have Yorkshire.
I'm a republican but I accept that we will have a monarchy at least for the rest of MY life & probably long afterwards. My vain hope is that the next king, whoever that may be, will rein in the profligacy of the royal family (but I'm not holding my breath!).
Should that be ‘Reign in’?

Spicerack: /// ... What kind of cretins ...///
This from a woman who assaulted a journalist for daring to ask her a probing question?
What was he probing ?
