I was watching an episode of The Thick Of It a few days ago. The Secretary of State is visiting a factory and he is just out the car when one of the workers has a go at him about the staffing levels in a local care home where the worker's mum is and she's having to clean up after her.

The TV cameras are there and it's going to be broadcast on ITN.
Malcolm Tucker visits them and lies to them, telling them the woman was standing for the BNP.

I'm not saying the man in to-day's story is not a Labour activist but it made me think on The Thick Of It immediately.
