I've had "real" flu 2 or 3 times and it really lays you out - weeks rather than days. And with advancing age my resistance is probably weaker now so I do get the flu jab which may or may not be effective.

I was a bit miffed the other day when the lad on the checkout at Lidl coughed straight in my face with no attempt to cover his mouth. Luckily no signs of infection so far.
