They have had the whole of the summer holidays to protest, or is this just another exercise brought on by their left-wing teachers?
All seems reminiscent to the Nazi teachers in 1930's Germany.

If children have something they feel strongly about, it is good experience and impressive for them to actually try to do something about it, no matter what adults presume their motivations to be.

Wellll....it was a nice day for it. Wonder if they will organise one for when it's hissing down and freezing or will they all be hugging the central heating pipes on that day. Will their parents all get a letter warning about the kids being off school without permission, with a warning of outlandish fines for further transgression?
Human activity and CO2 aren't the only things that are melting the polar regions and glacial ice. This is also a problem:

Chlamydomonas Nivali was first noticed by Capt. Ross in 1819, in Greenland when he was searching for a passage to the Pacific. It's a microbial algae that turns ice and snow, red. That darkens the ice so that it retains heat from the Sun and it melts quicker than normal. It also lives in the melt water So far, scientists don't know how to stop it.

Welcome back to your new school kiddywinks.
I am your headmaster. You won't see much of me. My name is Jack but I Dash all over the place loading bullets for others to fire. I used to be called Steve but am known as Dore.
The teacher i/c of Geology is Arthur Scargill. He doesn't know the difference between a rock and a hard place but found a lovely niche in the Barbican ,compliments of the NUM.
Your art teacher is Red. How appropriate. He used to work in metalwork. They made British cars out of metal once upon a time.
The car industry was destroyed. Nothing short of Robbo ry.
This school is Labour intensive children. Take the rest of the week off.

Most of the people I saw interviewed today said that they want the government to cut down on carbon emissions.
I typed “what causes carbon emissions” into a search engine, and this is the first site on the list.

So what exactly is the government supposed to do about animal and plant respiration through the soil? Or the fact that the industrial revolution has happened, and the clock can’t be turned back.
I suspect if it was announced that all fossil fuels were to be banned tomorrow, and all power stations were turned off, there would be a lot less people protesting when they realise their lives will change beyond all recognition immediately.

Refugees welcome and socialist worker banners.
I wonder how many would give up their smart phones and laptops to save the planet, its not just the charging it the manufacture of them as well.
Why are the roads quieter during half term etc and busier when they go back, I grew up in the 80's and never had any of that, so it must be todays generation that's contributing to it.
Do you really think a 5 year old came up with this.

Gromit,
\\I really cannot understand why some people think that you have to abandon your Smart Phone to save the planet.
Smart Phones are a great tool in changing behaviour that decreases greenhouse gases.//
Its not one, it millions, plus all the materials.
I never had anything like this in the 80's, its this generation with cheap clothing, smart phones, air conditioned class rooms.

Then, unfortunately, you need to understand how smart phones are firstly made, with what materials and how, and, secondly, the technology which makes them useable devices, and how that is constructed and the cost (carbon footprint wise) of that infrastructure.
And the you'll do a cost/benefit analysis of retain ing the sm
(Where do they find these idiots?)
