In view of the terrorist attacks inflicted upon the British people in the name of Islam, have we every right to show fear, hated and prejudice against the Islamic religion?

It just doesn't seem to be the case with any Muslim I have ever worked with.
Aog, are you prejudiced, fearful and hateful of all men?... as they are the biggest risk, more than any religion or colour available. Or are your observations just about "others"?
Pixie you don't know what the Muslims you are working with think do you? They won't try and convert you and will be pleasant of course, but their Religion is much more important to them that your average Christian, a religion that historically has killed hundreds of thousands of their followers and whom they do hold in contempt.
Historically... which is why I'm asking aog about males- the biggest risk factor ever- to everyone.
Tbh, I am not worried what people may be quietly thinking... just their behaviour towards other people x
There are bad apples in every barrel. Doesn't make me hate apples.
We don't know what anyone truly thinks regardless of religion. The Muslims I know are very lapsed just like I was as a Catholic.
I've trawled the internet but can find no evidence of apples looking to dominate the planet with their warped ideology.
All muslims aren't, either though. I have had some joining me in the office to eat bacon sandwiches... because they "weren't supposed to" at home...
Douglas, not all Muslims are extremists. My job as a decorator has taken me into the homes of many, many Muslims in the Burnley, Colne and Nelson areas. I have found most to be polite - some almost to the point of sycophancy - generous (taken many home cooked meals home with me) and, at the end of the job, most grateful. I have never felt any apprehension when entering their homes, nor when walking through their communities to the local shop. And, if the cheery shopkeeper (that smiles at me and is polite) holds me in contempt, then, all i can say is that they're brilliant actors.
We may have the solution for world peace, bacon sandwiches and a coat of paint.

Chheap n cheerful.
Pixie Have you asked your lovely Muslim colleagues what they thought of the Manchester bombings? Asked them why these terrorists think their Religion calls for the killing of infidels and if it doesn't then why do the Terrorists quote it?
You've got a right to do and I understand why people do but I don't understand what it would actually achieve in terms of making Britain or the world a nicer place to live in - please elaborate.
I have never found a need to specifically ask them about terrorism, no.

/// Recent polls conducted for Hope Not Hate by YouGov found that 60% of Tory members believe Islam “is generally a threat to western civilisation”, that 54% hold it to be “generally a threat to the British way of life”; and 43% do not want a Muslim as prime minister. And that 42% believe “having people from a wide variety of racial and cultural backgrounds” has damaged British society, ///

Is Islam a threat to Western civilization?

Is Islam a threat to the British way of life?

Do you believe that having people from a wide variety of racial and cultural backgrounds has damaged British society?

How are we supposed to tell? We can't compare it with how it would be now, if that had never happened...
^^ Yes, yes and yes ..
Is this a poll you DO believe is representative because it supports your personal opinions?
//Do you believe that having people from a wide variety of racial and cultural backgrounds has damaged British society? //

No that’s what’s made British society.. angles, Saxon, Viking, celts, gaels to name a few
AOG's poll speaks more about Tories than it does Muslims in my eyes.
