Great shame that neither were asked about their intent on immigration. They both agreed that the NHS was under enormous pressure but wouldn't admit what that excessive and imported pressure was. As a life long Conservative supporter I reckon neither were covering themselves in Glory but Boris will get my vote. Must do better in his TV interviews however....

An hour wasted.
And Juliet Etchingham really handled it badly.
Why is everything dumbed down these days? That final question .... 'What would you buy each other for Christmas?' An insult to the intelligence of the viewer. Utterly pathetic.
Question Author
Naomi, I agree , such a mind numbing question and equally mind numbing answers
Naomi, my OH walked out the room at that point with rather rude words.
Can't say I blame him, Nellie. I think we were all expected to scream and cheer and go into hysterics as the audience does on Britain's Got Talent. Just one snag. In this instance there was no talent to be had.
Corbyn's refusal to answer how he would campaign in a second referendum was 2nd only in monotony to Johnson's constant asking the question, without answering the question 'actually' being asked. All Corbyn did throughout the hour was to repeat how he would get a deal, then put it to the public. All Johnson did throughout the hour was attack Corbyn, chant his double mantra 'Get Brexit Done' and 'Oven Ready Deal', and over-run his time.
I haven't bothered watching the 'non-league' debate though i may catch up with it one day this week.
As a neutral (floating voter), i wasn't all that impressed with either man. However, i have to say that Corbyn seemed to speak with a tad more passion and were i a first time voter, i may just be thinking of giving him my vote.
From the little i saw, it wasn't a debate, just alternating soundbites.

Who won??

I did. I watched the Wales match instead.
The SNP were not included in the ITV Debate, but Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn couldn't stop talking about us.

They mentioned:
Nicola Sturgeon 10 times
The SNP 7 times
The Indy Ref 12 times.

Sure other parties would have liked to take part in the debate too.
Boris is a convincing liar.
Corbyn is a shifty truthmonger.

All the fact-checksites say Johnson told loads of porkies.
Oh dear.they just can’t help being untruthful...

In my opinion, the proper re-instatement of the NHS takes precidence over the abandonment of the EU. Whoever promises this gets my vote.
I mentioned that earlier. The Tory Chairman was asked about it and he said they were calling out the claims made by Corbyn.

That's fair enough but why do it under a false flag? If it's because they think folk don't trust them, all they've done is add more fuel to the fire.
Very boring. Both should have had longer to speak, and then be cross examined by the other.
Many YouTube debates to learn from. Oxford Union and Munk debates, and atheist / believer debates, all much better formats.
Both barely scratched the surface.
Our local Conservative candidate is a friend of mine, so will get my vote.
Boris by a nose..
I only saw the last 20 mins but thought it was a complete waste of time.
agreed ^^
Malachite what do you mean by the proper reinstatement of the nhs?
