Great shame that neither were asked about their intent on immigration. They both agreed that the NHS was under enormous pressure but wouldn't admit what that excessive and imported pressure was. As a life long Conservative supporter I reckon neither were covering themselves in Glory but Boris will get my vote. Must do better in his TV interviews however....

as i thought, there wasn't much in it, neither the content or indeed the result
Danny, from your link; "Our snap poll shows that the public is divided on who won the debate, with most Labour voters thinking Jeremy Corbyn won, most Conservative voters thinking Boris Johnson won, and very few people changing their minds." Well no siht, Sherlock.
Ken, I thought the 51/49% split was a fair assessment.
These things are a stupid attempt to replicate the TV event that is the American Republican v Democrat presidential candidate debates.

It doesn't work here, and the other parties are right to be p...d off at being excluded. Presenting Johnson and Corbyn as the binary choice of who we can to vote for is false.

Apart from that, the whole thing is shallow, with each person given what seemed like a 30 second soundbite to answer anything before being cut off.

Politics dumbed down.
I was having a dig at the guy running the snap poll, Danny. Did he actually think that an hour long 'debate' would sway supporters of one side to join the other? Given what he said, the pollsters must have asked 2% more Tory voters than Labour voters. No?
It was just same tish, different bucket.
Both of them chanting their usual mantras, with the most ridiculous question at the end.
The interview with the other 4 leaders had an equally ridiculous final question.
Ken, don't know who the pollsters asked, from what I saw I thought that Boris just edged it. If Corbyn had answered the whether he was for or against Brexit , instead of refusing to do so, I would have put them equal.
naomi: "That final question .... 'What would you buy each other for Christmas?'" - what were their answers?
Neither are doing it for me. They both seem tunnel visioned and delusional regarding the future of our United Kingdom.
Didn't you just love the bit where Boris said
"The Truth Matters" then the audience just PTSL.
He's a Star!.
gulliver, didn't they also laugh at your man too.
TTT;The question was, "Away from politics, what would you leave each other under the tree at Christmas." Corbyn replied along the lines of, "Knowing Mr Johnson is an avid reader, i'd leave a copy of A Christmas Carol, under the tree." Johnson's reply was "Mr Corbyn is also an avid reader and i'd leave my brilliant Brexit deal for him to read." Maitland reminded him she said away from politics, so Johnson made a reference to their shared love of plants then said he'd leave a jar of damson jam under Corbyn's tree?
Shedman, Gulliver only sees and hear what he wants to see or hear.
theshedman; the audience laughed and jeered at each in turn. They did so to Corbyn each time he evaded answering the question as to how he would campaign in a second referendum and they did so at Johnson each time he mentioned "Get Brexit Done". I am reliably informed that Corbyn refused 9 times to answer that question. Don't know how many times Johnson chanted his mantra.
Danny; the guy running the snap poll said that Tory voters thought Johnson won (51%), the Labour voters thought Corbyn won (49%) with "very few" changing their minds. So, to my way of thinking, they must have asked 2% more Tories than they did Labourites. I'm not saying that they deliberately set out to do so, by the way.
Ken, I don't think the pollsters knew the political persuasion of the people they asked.Surely there must have some Liberals etc among the people interviewed.
-- answer removed --
You're right, Danny. My early morning brain (late one last night) had over-simplified the results:-( And your link shows an interesting breakdown of 'sectional' results of the poll. While Johnson was considered more PM material, Corbyn was considered the more truthful. Johnson more likeable than Corbyn who, in turn, was more in touch with ordinary people than Johnson. Just about sums everything up for me. No wonder we're in a mess.
These Stats claiming that Boris was the better man .
Probably came from the Tories new twitter Page where last night, just for one hour they changed their name to "Factcheck UK .
