So how does he square his getaway to Mustique with his new year message re being "friends and equals"? Frankly, it stinks.

Ha ha ha, yes of course, I am well acquainted with that one :-)
"We worked hard and deserve every penny, private health insurance, and all the trimmings of a comfortable life."
Yes good luck.
What about all of the other people who also work their socks off and only get paid minimum wage?
Do they not also put in the effort?
Do they have a portfolio to retire on?
No, look at the real world, open your eyes, unstop your ears, otherwise you are just a selfish hypocrite.
Naomi ----"Sorry sevenOP. I didn't think your question was serious. Let's just say 3rd ... or is it 4th? ... avatar within an alarmingly short space of time. A busy bunny - if not a happy one. :o) "

No, you just don't want to discuss why a 'genuine' media photograph taken on 9/11 is offensive to the 'moral' arbiters.
Conform on, evasive minion [ : ¬ ))))

Theland, go for it. Attack me as usual. Lame ducks, devoid of dignity and self-respect, who expect the world to owe them a living abound.

sevenOP, your avatar wasn't // a 'genuine' media photograph taken on 9/11//

... and your latest one is way beyond your comprehension. Your credibility rating now .... zilch.
I have never expected the world to owe me a living.
My 84 hour weeks over many years, (briefly 96 hour weeks until stopped by the the EUWTD), are testament to that.
How dare you accuse me of expecting the world to owe me a living.
Your posts are increasingly disgusting.
Naomi--" sevenOP, your avatar wasn't // a 'genuine' media photograph taken on 9/11// "

What a piece of diversion you are. Which avatar are you referring to?-- ( I know this appears difficult (impossible?) to you ie being (understanding the word SPECIFIC )

And you say Naomi "... and your latest one is way beyond your comprehension"..... in what way is an avatar 'I' chose, beyond my comprehension ???
Also I spent my working life in some of the harshest conditions imaginable, not sitting in a cosy office.
You are totally clueless a about the real world.
What real work have you ever done?
Or did your investments just pay off?
Or, I wager, your husband is in lucrative employment.
But not emptying bins, or portering in a hospital, or picking in a warehouse.
You need a reality check.
Theland, my posts aren’t disgusting - they hit a nerve and you don’t like it.

SevenOP, your question confirms my assessment.
When you accuse me of thinking that I believe the world owes me a living, yes, you are disgusting.
Your problem. Night night.
Naomi-- "SevenOP, your question confirms my assessment."

Evasive, non-answer Naomi, modus operandi Number 1 in your deceitful playbook.
The FACT it was a media photograph of actual 9/11 media disseminated video footage is evaded by you.

Quite right. When I am wrongly accused of expecting a living from the world, it is indeed my problem.
Just to return to the issue of me and Orlando/USA. Why did I go all those times if I thought it was a dump? I first went in 2000. Really nice weather all the way through. My family talked me into it, knowing I'm more of a home bird, not keen on foreign travel. The tourist areas are very nice; really nice actually. But if you stray off that narrow tourist strip, it really is rough. I suppose that's the same anywhere, but the contrast in Orlando is very noticeable. One example is Clearwater. A beautiful beach and marina area, which is accessed by driving through some rough areas. I mean rough. No, I mean FKN rough! And you have to be watchful for muggers roaming the beach looking for opportunities. They are there in abundance. We decided one day to drive from Clearwater to Sarasota and instead of using the freeways, ie, Highway 19, I-275 then I-75, we used a road called "The Tamiami Trail", Highway 40, I think. A so-called tourist route. What a load of garbage. It was like driving through Toxteth, Moss Side, Govan and Kirkholt (Rochdale) all rolled into one. In Kissimmee, Orlando, Highway 192 is a popular route with lots of shops and amusements. Near marker 14 on the 192, is Medieval Times, a popular tourist attraction, at the side of Walmart, virtually. The area behind there is a definite no-go area. There are many like that and sadly I think it will only get worse because Disney and Universal are killing the local economy with their sale of holiday packages whereby people very rarely leave the theme parks, to the detrement of the local amenities and shopping. International Drive must be one of the most dynamic streets in Florida because they're always demolishing parts of it and building something else. In the end, I suppose it depends what you're looking for in your holiday, but whenever I've been to the USA, even Malta (never been anywhere else!) I always have a slight feeling of unease at being far from home; a foreigner in a foreign country. So folks, Orlando is changing and I fear it is not for the better.

That wasn't the avatar that the Spare Editor deactivated.
Your $oftware needs updating.

sevenOP. No it wasn't. You pulled that one before it was pushed. Grow up.
sevonOP you have changed it a few times in the last couple of days and naomi24 is right. If you can't see that a couple of them were very offensive then you need help.
"Grow up " Pot and kettle comes to mind.
10ClarionSt, it still didn't answer the question of why you would go there that many times if it was as bad in parts that you say it was. I have been there on three occasions once in the mid 70s and twice in the 80s and found it fine. Yes you do get rough areas but you get them everywhere. If you want somewhere rough then try the Gaza strip now that can be rough and yes I have been there.

Problems reading now Naomi ?

Oh dear, evasion time again

theshedman -- "If you can't see that a couple of them were very offensive then you need help."

What was offensive about genuine MSM footage?
Did genuine Biafra or Holocaust images 'offend' you ?
sevenOp, it seems like you are just nearly the only person who doesn't think a picture like that is not offensive. Photos and the like of the 2 you mention are often put on TV and in papers to show that these type of things should not happen again. Not as a picture that someone just seems to think looks good and when challenged about it tries to make out it is other people who are in the wrong. You are really not coming across as someone many would want to meet and so make the most of it as I for one will not answer anything you write on here again as it is a waste of time and I think you probably even argue with yourself..
