Dire Coverage Of Brexit Celebrations
A pretty appalling show from the BBC last night. The camera zoomed over the assembled throng in Parliament Square, Mr Farage was seen standing on stage, but where was his speech? Instead of him we got Emily Whatshername prattling on. Did any of the television companies offer a fitting tribute to this momentous occasion in this country’s history? It appears, once again, that the BBC just couldn’t bring itself to report as it should - honestly.

You're right, Naomi. It was a disgrace, a clear attempt to sour any feeling of joy for the majority of people in this country - those who have had to suffer years of abuse and disappointme nt - and for what? For the benefit of the miserable minority that took such delight in every setback we faced - and the broadcasters were never shy of showing the glee and...

Just another non accountable, un-elected organisation that has attracted the libz and anti British mindset bubble dwellers into it's ranks. We know what eventually happens to such organisations don't we? We give them the elbow. (or the Agincourt salute if you prefer)
We will celebrate when they fold as well regardless of who doesn't want us to.

I also thought TV coverage by both BBC and ITV was awful. Nigel Farage should have had his speech broadcast in it’s entirety. The ITV programme showed him in an inset whilst studio guests wittered on over him. Shameful treatment.
The BBC probably gave more footage/coverage of Khan’s disgusting blimp last year.
Mr Farage started the battle and the current Prime Minister is bringing it to a close.
To the victor the spoils.
Forget Triumphalism. Boris and his cabinet should also of announed the hour outside No 10.
The likes of Gina Miller weren’t shy when bleating about the successful barriers they put up during the departure process

Also, just on the subject of balance, I happen to know that Nick Robinson interviewed a bunch of people in Leeds Market yesterday, including one woman who had voted Leave and was now feeling pretty foolish about doing so. It was interesting to note how the Coverage in the Today programme *didn't* include that interview. Nor, for that matter, a short interview with a relatively downbeat young chap shortly afterwards. Especially odd in a programme that purported to be about the mood of the City -- it focused more on the celebrations in, eg, Morley, than it did on the other side. Most of the interviews with Joe Public it did release ended up being either the "I like this" or the "let's just get on with it" type.
Ah but will she feel foolish about saying she felt foolish, in a few years time ?
Hmm yeah but, it's good if those who didn't get their choice are now accepting about getting on with things and the country coming together. The media would be irresponsible to go encouraging folk to continue with divisive wrecking tactics at this stage. That won't heal the nation's population.

Retro //Boris and his cabinet should also of announed the hour outside No 10.//
//There was an illuminated giant clock on the outside of number ten counting down to zero. //
Yes Danny I was aware and saw it. My point was I would of liked to see Boris and his Cabinet outside No 10 as it reached 2300.
I appreciate he allegedly stayed inside No10 so as not to show Triumphalism but I believe he had every right and duty to the Nation to give a speech and briefly outline the way ahead.
After all we had plenty of sneering glee from Gina Miller outside the High Court every time she won her attempts to put hurdles in the path of Brexit negotiations.
Perhaps, we'll see. She felt furious about the "NHS lies", ie the £350 million thing. I know that it's not accepted as a lie here, and I'm not claiming she speaks for anyone other than herself. But it was a surprise to me that her interview never made the broadcast.
A national broadcaster is meant to represent the opinion of the entire country, rather than just the winning side, though. And a repentant Brexiter is at least part of that conversation -- although much good it does anyone to regret a choice already made and now locked in.
Better that you are right, OG, and she was wrong. But her voice should still have been heard, no?

For the benefit of the miserable minority that took such delight in every setback we faced - and the broadcasters were never shy of showing the glee and triumphalism on the faces of the wretched people who thwarted progress time and time again... until they lost (a pity we didn't get the chance to see those expressions in the aftermath - that would have been fun - no, we got a 'Requiem for Doomed Hope' instead!).
Some comments and images here that you may enjoy. If you do open the link, scroll down and compare the newspaper front pages. The Groan stands out a mile with its usual anti Britain message. Not even been out 24hrs yet and they are already trying to stir up trouble with Gibraltar. This is why the Remainiacs hated the site.......because it portrayed honestly the mood of the majority and poured scorn on their cant.

Perhaps Jim360 accidentally missed the gentleman with his daughter at the celebrations at a Northern rugby club when he was interviewed on the terraces. He stated that he firmly voted remain at the start but his daughter, who was present, firmly voted leave with the rest of their family.
He now realised that Brexit was the way to go and was glad the UK was leaving the EU.He seemed happy to sport the union flag around his neck.
