Trump seems to have no ' embarrasment gland'; he opens his mouth and seems to be impressed by what he hears issuing forth even though much of it has bypassed the 'reasoning' areas present in a normal human brain. When his more bizarre pronouncemen ts are deconstructe d into the illogical, childish and petulant rhetoric they so obviously are, I think it is...

Interesting how many think the points made in the clip are not noteworthy, exactly what everyone knew already, so what (larger blinkers please) - let's keep cheering, hail the hero (who is utterly without concern/shame that he has been caught out - keep pouring out the nonsense). He has at least learned a new word (which he claims to have known before everyone else). Why then are we surprised USA voters voted for him and continue to support him ?

When his more bizarre pronouncements are deconstructed into the illogical, childish and petulant rhetoric they so obviously are, I think it is really sweet that so many people get offended on his behalf and gather round to smooth his ruffled feathers and start name-calling his detractors...

Spice; I've watched your link and nothing in it detracts from ZM's link in which Trump is heard (and seen) to say, among other things; "We have it totally under control. It's just one person coming in from China." "We've pretty much shut it down" (2 Feb), "When it gets warm, historically, that kills the virus" (14 Feb), "People are getting better, they're all getting better" (Feb 25). "The 15 that have it, in a couple of days it's gonna be down close to zero" (26 Feb). "I think we'll have vaccines relatively soon" (2 Mar), "Therapy is sort of another word for cure" (4 Mar). "A lot of good things are going to happen (10 Mar). I could go on through the rest of the clip, but I won't. Apart from this humdinger of a statement from the leader of the free world, "This is a pandemic. I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic. You only had to look at other countries." Look in the mirror, Spice, and you'll most likely see a fool staring back at you.
Certainly a novel interpretation, Spicerack.
Legitimate criticism isn't making political capital. It's legitimate to question whether Trump's actions during the crisis have been effective. Time will tell if they were. I hope they will be, but, as yet, there are signs that the US is only now finding out just how many cases there already were over there.
It's also worth noting that much of the US's potential vulnerability to the outbreak has a great deal to do with long-standing problems in the way healthcare is provided there. A private system, as opposed to a public one, is less able to provide a coordinated response.

Yes, there are all sorts of reasons why different countries have different statistics. That's why people should stop trying to make political capital out of it.
2 idiots even pointed to the fact that brilliant Norway only had 3 deaths compared to useless America's 50 the other day. I need hardly point out the flaw in that cunning criticism.

Ken, my clip is an unedited video of a Democrat Governor in the worst affected part of America(NY) praising Trump and his admin for the way they're dealing with the crisis.
The OP is a series of very heavily edited clips taken completely out of context.
If you want to stay uninformed, it's up to you.

I completely agree. So why was it OK when Trump was doing the same thing?

Trump's been trying to make as much political capital out of this as he can. Yet, presumably, in pointing this out *I'm* the one making a political point...
