At this time of national emergency, should the Queen, or a senior member of the Royal Family send a message to the public on television?

This could still be done whilst the film crew, producer etc, kept socially distant.

No, I don't think it's a good idea. Let her rest, she has done wonders for this country and at her age if she wants to hide away from the public at this time, then good luck to her. She can do no wrong in my eyes.

I haven't read the thread... but if she wants to, yes. Up to her. I think a lot of people might find it supportive. Anyone else, just won't listen to it.
gulliver, given the choice of a hectoring letter from a politician who doesn't take the advice in it, or a telegram from the queen wishing me a happy 100th, I know which I'd rather have.
I've just read that the Queen will be speaking to the nation on Sunday evening. I can't do links, but there was info on the BBC News website.
