Piers Morgan asked Matt Hancock this morning if he was prepared to take a pay cut, his answer was no, asked why, he said he's having to work day and night. So should he take one?

The company my son works for has asked all staff who haven't been furloughed to take a percentage pay cut (percentage varies depending on how much they earn). He's happy with that so why not all MPs - yes, on both sides of the house.
Piers Morgan is the only one to ask direct question and try and
get some honest answers, he is doing a good job.
Direct questions, yes, but he needs to let people respond and stop being so aggressive.
Shouldn't the government be paying only 80% of his salary ;-)

Piers is right in pushing them, simply because politicians don't answer questions, they dance round them, and change the subject, that's either because they don't have an answer, ( but won't say that) or they don't want you to know the truth, about any mistakes they've made.
start with the over paid council leaders..split the salary between two people..who delivers gets a bonus, that way they can vie with each other.
Why shouldn't he take a pay cut like everybody else? I personally don't think he's up to the job.
Who are the everybody else who’s taking a pay cut, Margie?
I have several friends who are only on 80%, one is a vet, one a vet's receptionist and one works for the Council. Plenty are being furloughed, or whatever the expression is!
No - he's working.
So are my friends.
Well, I'm not exactly sure what furlough means, but all three have taken a pay cut whilst still working. Which is what I have already said.
They’re not working normally though are they Margie?
Yes, they are working normally naomi!

By the way, spot on Piers!

How odd!
// the hard of thinking tabloid readers who only understand things in tiny soundbites designed to whip them into a frenzy.//

is there any one on AB who fits this description I wonder ?

any way - proper names please - Piers Moron i s he thinking of taking a pay cut or does he consider himself as worf every penny ?
Must be some personal/private arrangement then, can see how it may work for a vet and receptionist but hard to see how it works with a council employee doing their usual hours.

Still, well done to them Margie.
Thank you mamya, so kind.
Companies may have made private arrangements with some staff but I still don’t see why Matt Hancock should take a pay cut.
