Piers Morgan asked Matt Hancock this morning if he was prepared to take a pay cut, his answer was no, asked why, he said he's having to work day and night. So should he take one?
The company my son works for has asked all staff who haven't been furloughed to take a percentage pay cut (percentage varies depending on how much they earn). He's happy with that so why not all MPs - yes, on both sides of the house.
Piers is right in pushing them, simply because politicians don't answer questions, they dance round them, and change the subject, that's either because they don't have an answer, ( but won't say that) or they don't want you to know the truth, about any mistakes they've made.
I have several friends who are only on 80%, one is a vet, one a vet's receptionist and one works for the Council. Plenty are being furloughed, or whatever the expression is!
Must be some personal/private arrangement then, can see how it may work for a vet and receptionist but hard to see how it works with a council employee doing their usual hours.
