To Test Or Not To Test

Have you heard the latest pearl of wisdom from the stable genius that is the president of the USA? They only have so many cases because they do so many tests("more than anyone")
The corollary is no tests equals no cases ergo problem solved.
The guy has the brain power of a gnat (apologies for insulting gnats every where)which says little for those who support and vote for him.
God help us all!

I have criticised much of what Trump has said, but in this instance I do think it is clear what he meant, and what he meant is true – if you do more testing then you will likely have more confirmed cases.

I don’t see how you can infer that saying you have so many confirmed cases because you do a lot of testing means that you are saying you wouldn’t have any if you didn’t test.

I think the point he's trying to make is that they're doing more testing than anyone else so they're finding more positives than anyone else, but being biggly bad with language, people didn't understand it.
